Barry Nelson

Biography: Born Robert Nielsen, he debuted onscreen in 1941 directly out of college, and played leads and supporting roles fairly steadily for the next decade. He was not particularly successful as a film personality, and after 1951 his screen appearances were infrequent. He went on to a greater career as a stage actor, starring in several hit Broadway plays. He also starred in the '50s TV series The Hunter and My Favorite Husband.
