Audrey Totter

Biography: Audrey Totter was a leading lady for MGM during the forties where she primarily played hard-edged, serious and enigmatic blondes in film noir melodramas such as The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946). Prior to entering films, she was the famed "girl with a thousand voices" on radio, where she did a lot of work on dramas and soap operas. She retired from MGM in the late '40s and did not return to film until 1972 when she became a regular on TV's Medical Center.
