Arlene Francis
Biography: Born Arline Francis Kazanjian, this radio and TV personality studied acting at the Theater Guild School and went on to a modest stage career; she debuted onscreen in Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932), but appeared in only a few more films. Francis became popular as a hostess and panelist on radio and TV. She is the author of an autobiography, Arlene Francis: A Memoir (1978). Arlene Francis is the widow of actor Martin Gabel, with whom she appeared as a frequent panelist on the TV game-show What's My Line?
