Ann Blyth
Biography: A child actress in theater and an accomplished singer, Blyth began acting in films in 1944; the following year she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress as Joan Crawford's spiteful daughter in Mildred Pierce. Over the next dozen years she gave notable performances in dramas (A Woman's Vengeance, Another Part of the Forest), adventure tales (The Golden Horde, The King's Thief), and musicals (The Great Caruso, Rose Marie, The Student Prince, Kismet). Blyth retired from films in 1957 after starring in the musical biopic The Helen Morgan Story.
