Alison Maclean
Biography: Alison Maclean is among the most accomplished modern filmmakers in New Zealand. She is best known for her powerfully disturbing 12-minute short Kitchen Sink (1989), a wordless experimental horror movie that depicts a woman pulling a hair out a plughole; the hair becomes a fetus that grows into the man she falls in love with.
