    Generally though, World Wide Pop is full of inventive, bold pop music – sometimes sugary sweet like the acoustic led Crushed.zip, and sometimes big and anthemic such as the CHAI and Pi Ja Ma collaboration Teenager. And, as ever with Superorganism, it’s never, ever boring.

    The results can be overwhelming and unrestrained, but they also capture a freewheeling euphoric high that is undeniable. Even if you may want to enjoy it in moderation, the band’s universalist vision of indie pop has a little something for everyone.

    I thought that the singles were great, even though I felt like they relied on their features way too much. I see a lot of critics giving this album mixed reviews (50s), and while I agree that the tracks on this album that aren't very good are quite repulsive at times, I don't believe that this record is bad nonetheless.

    The highlights on this record were great, such as the singles and "Don't let the colony collapse". I can even notice (and clearly hear) some Avalanches influences in there, going as far as re-using the same samples from their 2020 record "We Will Always Love You"    … Full Review »
