    This album is wonderful, very well produced, wonderful lyrics melody, perfectly combines more danceable rhythms with more folk, calm and dark rhythms.

    Her best album to date, full of good songs and very mature, you can tell that she has grown a lot as a person and as an artist. Impeccable production, great lyrics and a really good vibe. Katy truly outdid herself.

    I think Katy was trying to reinvent herself with this material, and it is clear that she did it, it makes a lot of difference to her old albums, I love it.

    In her weakest album,Katy shows that being an empty hit maker for years won't help you when you want to show a little more substance.Supported by three forgettable singles,the album fails to show a more mature and conscious Katy,while trying to keep her roots in pop bangers.

    It's a strong pop-dance album, her best work for sure. The weaker tracks like Deja Vu can be totally forgiven, because the stronger one just like Tsunami are powerful. Beautiful. I'm impressed, Katy.

    A very weak album, some tracks are really good while most of the album is rubbish, the lyrics are embarrassing, the vocals are weak/low and so many of the song sounded the same with flat instrumentals that i can't tell which one is which, the concept of the album she described is not there on the album much

    When I heard all the tracks on her album Witness, I think this is the best album she ever produced! It has different meanings for people to absorb with and for them to seek inspiration through her music. Her comeback will be huge I tell you!

Katy Perry left deciding to change and now composed lyrics a little somber and with bands very different from what she would release years ago, the album can transport you to another world, where Katy tries to open her eyes to things that we should pay attention to.
    Despite the resiliency that was very present on the album, Katy brought strong and powerless lyrics as in Power, hey hey and pendulum, she was still able to highlight her vocals in the tracks.
    Although the first singles did not get a good approval from the public it is necessary to give a chance to this album that has great songs but that need to be digested in a slow way so as not to frighten its listeners.    … Expand

    This album is simply wonderful! Totally different from his previous works, approaching social themes that are in our faces, but that we prefer to pretend that it is not too much. At Witness, we can feel this empowerment in many ways, and again Katy Perry did not disappoint us at all!

    The fourth material from Californian singer Katy Perry, Witness, is a material in which she has risked changing her pop style and has done quite well. In Witness we find great songs like Witness, Power, Save as Draft, Pendulum, among other songs.

    Katy has managed to put out an album that is sophisticated, bold, slick in production and conciously aware. The electric influences have strayed away from the fluff fun pop Katy used to do, but she still manages to make songs in "Witness" ear-catchy. From the Duke-Dumont campy-esque banger "Swish Swish", to the disco-influenced "Chained to the Rhythm", to the soaring ballad "Save as Draft"Katy has managed to put out an album that is sophisticated, bold, slick in production and conciously aware.     This is Katy's most coesive work to date. "Tsunami", "Power" and "Into Me You See" are clearly the standout tracks that shows Katy's growth. On Teenage Dream and PRISM sure she delivered some career highlights such as Firework and Walking On Air, but on Witness, she's on top of her game with amazing lyrics and new producers.     The album is very good. To the songs with a calm voice and a contagious beat. Taking the listener, to feel several emotions in a single song, that is the legal one. Those songs with a very calm or sad voice and an exciting beat. I loved this new era different from Katy, it shows her change from venturing without fear.

    I honestly like the album. Way better than Prism. The production is great. It showed more of her vocals too. She does ballads so well because they suit her voice. She's not the best songwriter, we all know that, but this album definitely showed more growth. I can appreciate that.

    While it's certainly missing any form of coherency, Witness does feel like you're growing with Perry - going on this journey that's helped her find new ground and a reinvigorated appreciation for all walks of the pop music spectrum.

    It’s a real shame Witness has come out as a bit of a disjointed mess, as there’s a decent record somewhere in there, but it gets lost in the fog of endless guest productions and co-writes that miss the point entirely.
