    Could not understand what she wanted to do with this album. No matter what, it did not work. Let's wait for the next one. PS: Power should be released as a single urgently.

    El álbum es una pieza de superación y de liberación la cual el publico hace de testigo para ver el cambio y el progreso de un artista, en este caso de la creado "Katy Perry". Haciendo de este un álbum con letras y sonidos nunca antes tocados por la artista; adentrando tantos puntos de vista la cual solo se gana la critica como algo negativo dejando solo 1/3 de algo positivo para esta.

    Her worst album. Katy Perry lost her soul in this work, i can't feel her. Prsim was even more mature. I don't think if she's going to sell again like she did before.

    this is a great album with horrible lyrics but amazing rhythms, fail in everything, doesn't have a style, poorly pop and songs that will become something forgettable

    Este álbum es bastante diferente a todos sus otros trabajos, acercándose sólo un poco a canciones de su álbum anterior "Prism" como "Spiritual", "Ghost" o "Choose Your Battles", pero muy poco.

    No es totalmente malo pero me siento algo estafada después de esperar cuatro años por música nueva. Las mejores canciones en mi opinión son: Hey Hey Hey, Deja Vú, Miss You More, Pendulum y los tres sencillos mencionados con anterioridad.

    This is the best record of the year, the best album vocally and production. The best album of her, I love Teenage Dream but Witness is very good. I can't have bad reviews for Witness, this album is so amazing!

    I do not understand why Katy Perry dosn't move on? She stands still since 2011. Witness is the same album as Teenage Dream, Prism. Swish Swish is Truffle Butter...

    God this new Katy Perry album is f*&king awful.

    I can see why iTunes music is recommending it to me because I do enjoy the occasional pop album (although I am not generally a fan of these big superstar pop albums because they all sound the same). This album however, is all over the show. There is not a single cohesive thread to the entire thing. Not to mention the lyrics are    God this new Katy Perry album is f*&king awful.

    This album however, is all over the show. There is not a single cohesive thread to the entire thing. Not to mention the lyrics are literally cringe-worthy. Most of this sounds like stuff I heard all the way back in 2007 and it wasn't even particularly good then. Now it's just sad.

    I read somewhere that she had coined this phase of her career as "Purposeful Pop". Well if this is what "Purposeful Pop" sounds like then please pass me the club while I bash its head in.

    how is this a 51 i give it a 6 but i thought more people whould like it so i'm giving it a 10 to even the score

    katy is ok i never hated her never loved her. she never really had personality of here own but that's not really a bad thing meaning she could be on basically any song or beat unlike lana del rae or adel who have lots of personality so they can't really branch out and do lots    how is this a 51 i give it a 6 but i thought more people whould like it so i'm giving it a 10 to even the score

    power: 5/10 what the hell was that drum fill

    mind maze: 2/10 that autotune is awful not as bad as in looking for a star though that song is just the worst.

    miss you more: 3/10 the boredom is real

    chained to the rhythm: 7/10 nice groove nice guest verse nice singing nice everything and it never gets worse or better it's the perfect summer song, released in winter

    tsunami: it sounds 4/10 this beat sounds like it was made on a phone

    bon appetite: 4/10 why are migos here. wait every single has a disco type beat with a rap verse at the end

    bigger than me: 5/10 i literally can't write anything about this song there's just nothing that stands out very much

    save as draft: 5/10 every person that worked on this song sounds like they were thinking like the writers

    pendulum: 6/10 there's something i like about this song but i just can't quite put my fingers on it

    into me you see: 4/10 the boredom

    that was ok. no horrible songs no great songs numerical score is 54/100
    which means 5/10 kinda forgettable but i gotta say i don't think she was trying to make a great album i think she was trying to make an album that stood up to overplay no matter how many times i hear these songs i probably won't ever hate any of these songs. 5/10 seems reasonable but i do like the way she's going with her music it's no longer bubblegum pop or the trendy sound of the time. she's experimenting and i respect that. insert    … Expand

    Stuck in a limbo between attempting to be heartfelt and attempting to be fun, of which it was neither, this annoying work proved to be nothing but a money grab stemming from the monotonous and uninspiring melodies. My Score: 70/180 (Bad) = 3.9/10

I am excited about it because we all know her as Katy Perry who dominates Charts,Sales etc. But honestly, as i listen to this Album i am surprised of having another side of her that shows her Diversity as an artist and her talent to switch and show people another kind of music, music that shows her deep lyricism, and her love for her country. But to be honest, this album is not as great as what the public wants and expect. But to me as i learn and go down deeper into her new music and lyrics i can admit that she worked for this album and she deserves some credits.… Expand

    Album of the year. Songs are filled with emotions. They suit to every mood. It's a completely new story. The story of Katheryn Hudson. Just listen to it and you'll understand how perfect this record is.

    A vast differentiation from Katy's old music. At first listen, it may seem dreary and repetitive, it does take a few listens to warm up, and become accustomed to the different beats and sounds of each song. Half of the album can be added to your playlist for continued listening, with few very leaving an impact.

    This is the best album this year! Katy Perry voice is just superb! All the songs in the album are different, they want to come back all the time! Perhaps this is the best work!

    Sonoramente poluído e confuso, não tem personalidade e muito menos uma mensagem e um álbum amador pra uma cantora que esta em sua zona de conforto sem astucia para se arrisca ou compor seu próprio álbum.

    Pra um artista dona de grandes hits como a Katy Perry esse álbum foi o fim da sua carreira. Músicas sem graça e singles mal escolhidos onde a única razoável é a que recebe o nome do álbum. Sinceramete esperava bem mais.

    4 anos depois do auge do seu último álbum, Katy Perry nos entrega o que talvez seja o álbum mais mediano de sua carreira. Com uma sequencia de singles nada favorecida, o álbum parece ser feito em cima da hora. Mas não se engane, o álbum tem sim momentos de ouro: Save As Draft comprova isso.

    This is Katy's worst album to date. Every song sounds the same, and the production is lifeless. There isn't one song that can be a single, and she isn't challenging herself yet again. It's just the same old same old mediocre Katy.

    Ouvindo o Witness, é perceptível se comparado ao PRISM a evolução sonora pop de Katy Perry. criticos renomados americanos nunca gostaram dos álbuns de Katy Perry. Katy Perry pode vir com qualquer trabalho maduro, mas ser´á duramente criticada e comparada com trabalhos anteriores. Witness é um pop gostoso, esperado e que deve ser deliciado aos poucos. Não vejo um "Conceito especifico" no Witness, mas sim o amadurecimento tardio de Perry em uma nova era de desafios através de quem ela realmente é. Mesmo como um fã, tenho que admitir que ainda sinto falta de algo quando eu escuto esse album, algo mais marcante que eu sentia nos outros álbuns da Katy, e por incrivel que pareça, acredito que seja canções mais marcantes do que são. Dou destaque total a faixa "Witness" minha grande aposta a Perry, Roullet, Tsunami e Deja Vu também soam bem. Swish Swish tem um verso delicioso, gostoso de ouvir, Temos que levar em conta que Bon Apettit não cabe neste álbum. Ao ouvir "Act My Age" me lembrei da Perry do Teenage Dream, essa faixa soa tão bem...
    Como a própria disse, ela não se sente mais como Katy perry, ela é Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, precisamos ouvi-la, ser sua testemunha em momentos como este, onde a mídia, fãs de Taylor Swift e de Lady GaGa só sabem tacar pedras na mesma. É perceptível o fiasco que este álbum esta sendo, mais que um "Fracasso perfeito" levamos em conta qual é a proposta do álbum: Trazer pop e isso Katy Perry conseguiu.    … Expand

    El pasado 9 de junio salió a la venta Witness de Katy Perry, el quinto trabajo de estudio de la cantante de éxitos como I Kissed a Girl, Teenage Dream, Part Of Me, Roar o Dark Horse. Llega más de 3 años después de PRISM y es el primer álbum de Katy Perry descrito, por la propia cantante, como purposeful pop, es decir, de pop con propósito o comprometido.

    This album is a hot mess! I love Katy but nothing matches here, the ballads are weak (usually they are wonderful in her albums) and the song that gives title to the album is a failure. The singles are really the highlights of 'Witness', Pendulum and Power are good though. But they seem to not fit in the concept of the album, if there is one.

    Bad lyrics and rare vocals. Igave a 3 only for the production.
    3 singles = 3 colaborations = Katy sub-rated.
    Witnes is a bad album. The fans don´t like it.

    While it's certainly missing any form of coherency, Witness does feel like you're growing with Perry - going on this journey that's helped her find new ground and a reinvigorated appreciation for all walks of the pop music spectrum.

    It’s a real shame Witness has come out as a bit of a disjointed mess, as there’s a decent record somewhere in there, but it gets lost in the fog of endless guest productions and co-writes that miss the point entirely.
