the fact that Louis uses his voice, works well on the melodies and explores his personal lyrics further makes it a memorable album. Some of his songs are nostalgic and recalls the memory of being in the 90/2000

The way he expresses himself and exposes his feelings in each song is incredible, it's difficult to find artists so honest and authentic in this new era of music. Louis Tomlinson is a genius and it's remarkable how much his voice has evolved over the years, he just improved what was always good, as well as his compositions.

Wasn't sure what to expect after reading the music critic reviews, but I don't know what album they were listening to. I was really moved by both the lyrics and the unique sound of his voice. Interested to see where he goes from here. Expand

Louis entregou um álbum espetacular, o que não surpreendeu já que podíamos ver o talento que ele possui desde que assumiu a composição da antiga banda, o álbum possui composições apaixonantes e batidas incríveis

I just heard Walls and I gotta tell you: this is beyond greater, you can’t even imagine! Listen to it while you read my review, it’s the only way you could truly understand what I’m feeling.

Defenceless is one of my favorites, it shows so much of his vulnerable side as someone who is deeply in love and just want to be loved back. Louis is definitely a star in the beginning of his best work since being in a band. Hoping to see more interviews about his first solo album. I’m now not just interested by his life story, but also his music!

Tomlinson surprised me with this album! I was like "I'm not going to listen to this, it sounds like all the other kids in pop" but no, it's different and catchy. I feel in my adolescence again with the vibe of your album, I will keep an eye on your works because I found a great composer and singer!!!

Honestly, I'm very surprised with Walls! The songs are so well aligned with his story of life, everything that he has been through all of this time are beautifully written in all kinds of beats. Walls touched not just my heart but my soul! The way Louis empowers people on his songs is amazing, even when he sings about his darkest feelings - in two of us - we can see him saying that there's a light and there's hope. The title of the album fits very well with his narrative. A long story full of ups and downs; And it feels like now, he finally broke those walls that were confronting him of being who he really is! The beats are different from song to song and this makes the album pleasant to listen to and not tiring. Definitely entered my list of favorite albums.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This man surprised me with his increadible vocals and his honesty. You can feel the mix of emotions that he felt during the process of the album. In two of us he express his pain, however it contains also a positive message; always you has a different vibe that impressed me and it is perfect for live shows that will make the crowd sing as loud as they can while he shows his regreat for letting “the one” go. Louis proved (once again) that he is one of the best writters of this generation giving us lyrics like “It is a church of burn romances and I am too far gone to pray” and “looked you in the eyes, saw that I was lost/ For every question why, you were my because”. In addiction, his voice is so good and he has total control over it what makes possible amazing vocals as in defenceless, fearless and walls.
This album is increadible and I can not wait to see his future work.

Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

Solo debuts with this much expectation are incredible challenges. While “Walls” isn’t a craven ripoff or an attempt to recapture One Direction highs, it’s not yet clear exactly who Tomlinson is without them.

Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
