    After a 4 years of working on this album, this is exactly what we wanted. The Louis's voice fits perfectly with all the melodies and all the melodies had a good rhythm not too fast but not too slow that makes you want to sleep or bores you to the first two songs

    All the songs are a banger! There's not one bad song. Louis smashed it with his debut album. The melodies are so beautiful and clean, they go so well with his unique voice that was made for indie music. If you like those 90s/Oasis vibes I suggest you listen to Walls. Finally the lyrics...man, there are not words to describe how incredible they are. Congrats lad! Amazing album.

    Estou completamente apaixonada por esse álbum. Foi a primeira vez que eu gostei de todas as músicas e isso é surpreendente. Não tem como não gostar. Vai dá alegria a tristeza mas não deixa a esperança. Essa é a verdadeira mensagem de Walls. Não perca a esperança, não desista a pesar de todas as barreiras e dores. E eu sei que foi isso que o Louis teve que enfrentar durante esses 4 anos deEstou completamente apaixonada por esse álbum. Foi a primeira vez que eu gostei de todas as músicas e isso é surpreendente.     Respecto a las letras es totalmente sorprendente como logra plasmar sentimientos de la manera adecuada. Tiene una gran calidad y no se muestra repetitivo en los significados. Tienes sonidos muy puros y simples que permiten disfrutar plenamente las canciones. Y el tipo tiene una voz increíble, logra transmitir sus emociones en la mayoría de sus notas .

    I think it's an excellent debut album. It expresses exactly what many of us can feel in a difficult time, from a loving failure, to the loss of an important person. His music also teaches us to be brave, and get ahead despite the "walls" that life puts us. Good lyrics and rhythm.

    I absolutely loved it, very enchanting real and raw album!! The sound in this album is something no one else is doing we should definitely bring back the pop rock punk rock sound back!!!! I can’t believe It’s his debut album and his music already is so good, the lyrics are amazing and thoughtful I just can’t wait to see what else Louis comes up with in the future.

Walls is a tremendous work of art, just listen to how liberated it feels to be able to sing the way you like it. It represents a great process and growth both in your career and in yourself.     The depth, vulnerability and honesty I've heard in the lyrics of this album are of a calibre I haven't experiene in a long long time ! You can cleary see where he gets his inspiration from and also how original is the twist he puts into them. Hope people can start apretiating him more outside of what he used to be part of

    Amazing album. You can feel the emotion through the songs while he’s signing, going from love to sadness to hope. If I could pick a favourite it could be Fearless, Walls and Only The Brave, but overall is an incredible album in general.

    I can feel all the feeling, dedication, love and pain in this album. Knowing about the things he went through, all the obstacles and difficulties... it is simply beautiful and gratifying to see him with such a beautiful project with so much content and emotion. The lyrics can convey exactly what we need to feel. An incredible work by an incredible artist and for sure my favorite album ever.

I was deeply touched when Two Of Us came out. And now after the release of Walls I can say it without a doubt he is a truly talented singer and songwriter with a lot of heart and soul. I loved walls. It's the only one of its kind which makes it stand out that much more. Songwriting, what was already expected that he would offer good lyrics, since he was the one who composed the most lyrics for the band One Direction — I would be disappointed if it were different and 2. Developing new alternative music without being generic, and I do not mean just about lyrics; I mean about the ballad style, the deep rhythm and the way the music is presented. The song presents itself.

    Looking at the choices that Louis and his label took, although, I do not know if I like this stage of "musical genre transition" — it is most probably that I do not like — much less the choice to bring a song like ‘Perfect Now’, which he himself agrees to be the daughter of One Direction’s discography, I can compare that to 'Little Things' myself. Decent lyrics, but this is the only compliment it deserves. Singles decision was just as unpleasant as ‘Perfect Now’ presence in ‘Walls’.

    Starting with my favorites of the album, track 11 is the song that was made, apparently unintentionally, to be everyone's favorite. The lyrics are just incredibly charming, without a doubt, Louis builds many moments of excessive vulnerability and feelings overflowing, as in the bridge passage 'I hope that I'm not asking too much / Just wanna be loved by you'. You can say that ‘Defenceless’, track 11, was made to be almost a love poem 'Acting like you feel no pain, you know I know you do / And I can't get inside when you're lost in your pride’. It impresses and surprises even for being the penultimate music of the album, ‘Defenceless’ brings to it listeners sensational equalizations and clean high notes. Flawless arrangement in the chorus. Nice drums & echoes. I am willing to say without hesitation that the (apparent) ‘interlude’ of the album is one of my favorite songs on it so far. 'It's the church of burnt romances / And I'm too far gone to pray' and 'Darling, you feel / Like there ain't enough dying stars in your sky / It's a tall tale' are both totally memorable parts of it. Sounds very poetic and I just loved it. I had first been told it was not a Louis Tomlinson's composition, until the album was finally released and then it was discovered he co-wrote the song as well. It is the track 12, called ‘Only The Brave’ very short and objective, but lyrically good and deep plus pleasant sound. I am not saying it is worth having a part 2, but it indeed is.

    I must point out that the track 12, 'Only The Brave', or kind of interlude of the album, lyrically lost its first place only because of 'Fearless', track 9, existence. Indisputable. 'Now if happiness is always measured / By the life you design, that car on the drive / Then you should feel better than ever / But you know as well as I, it's all lies'? Louis Tomlinson knows how to touch the hearts of his listeners, I cannot believe this guy is a ex-boyband.

    ‘Habit’, track 7, surprised me in a very good way! The lyrics are just pleasant and the sonority is honestly incredible and quite alternative, I think one of the songs of Walls who most left POP behind. A lot of electric guitars. 'Too Young', track 5, is honestly nothing new, but I have to say it is delightful. A very ‘sweet’ sound. ‘Always You’, track 8, does not really match the sound of the album at all, but it is a decent song. Very pop. Kind of what we like to play on radios.

    The singles are acceptable, some not so incredible. 'Kill My Mind', track 1, will be a hit on his tour, it reminds me a little of Arctic Monkeys songs. ‘Walls’, track 6, is simply good. If you like Oasis, then you like ‘Walls’. ‘Two of us’, track 3, is indisputably Louis' best song, the most honest one as well. And the most painful. Being a mourning song, I do not know how to rate it, but it is breathtaking.

    Louis Tomlinson is amazing and I hope the academy can see that. A lot of potential kind of hidden over those years. I am curious about the next projects he is willing to give us.    … Expand

    Very honest and emotional lyrics, plus a voice that expresses that emotion in a genuine way. Love how his songs say "bad things may happen but it's going to be okay," very positive outlook on life that we need more in music.

    Louis's lyrics are one of the best parts of this album, he's always been great at writing, we've seen that back in One Direction and we see it here with his debut album.

    amazing record ! what a good album to start the year. the lyrics on this album are raw and honest and its sonically a very easy listen. the vocals on the lad is unparalleled ! gorgeous distinctly unique voice that's able to emote his honest lyrics really well. can't wait to see this album performed live

What is most beautiful about the album is that Louis made it following his heart, the album was made for him to like it and be proud of it.     There's not a song I haven't enjoyed on this album. Once you've heard it once it'll get stuck in your head and you'll keep going back. Sincere and relatable lyrics. Honest. A good start for a solid career.

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Solo debuts with this much expectation are incredible challenges. While “Walls” isn’t a craven ripoff or an attempt to recapture One Direction highs, it’s not yet clear exactly who Tomlinson is without them.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
