    I have no words, to be his first album is an absolute masterpiece and could be his fifth or tenth time releasing an album, but it would not matter because it seems he had been through a lot and a lot of experience under his sleeve, the boy has a lot of potential and this album is just a proof of that

    Wonderful from start to finish! Louis’ vocals express his emotions in a way that is incredibly unique and his lyrical style is refreshingly honest and comforting. This album takes you on a journey and is welcoming you home. If you think it sounds like One Direction, you’re right— because Louis was the backbone of the songwriting credits for the majority of their albums. Stream Walls!

    We had to wait a little bit for this one, but oh my... It was worth it! Louis found his sound and it shows, the album is absolutely amazing. Going solo works for him, he can finally prove what a talented singer and songwriter he is.

    I'm a new Louis fan who has a hard time listening to more mainstream artists because I don't really relate to the music. Louis's lyrics are so beautiful and vulnerable that I instantly became obsessed with all of his songs. I understand that some people won't relate as much to his lyrics, but it shocks me that critics are so against Louis.     This album is a wonderful mix of where Louis has come from and where he is going musically. The songs hit the perfect blend of stripped down and catchy while the lyrics are honest and somehow feel both personal and universal. This album will definitely be in heavy rotation for the foreseeable future.

    The walls album is a masterpiece, the lyrics speak to me and you can clearly hear the authenticity in the songs especially in two of us. this song specifically inspires hope for those who have lost a loved one. a song like walls talks about going through struggles in life and coming up on top as a winner. in general the whole album is phenomenal and extraordinary.

    It's a really nice album, the lyrics are so strong, you almost can feel the same things he did, this guy from one direction surprised me with a full deep album where the words, voice and instrumental complete each other making an incredible harmony, emotional!

Most songs' lyrics get to you and even if you haven't experienced the same feelings that are described, you still get to relate to those words. I wasn’t a fan of 1d and only knew bits about them from of my niece so I wasn’t exactly sure what i was getting into when I listened to the album , but must say im happy with the results! Its been a while since I listened to such a vulnerable, emotion filled album. Defenseless is my favorite simply because of how raw and vulnerable it is.     Real good album, remembers me from early 2000s pop-rock. It's mature (Walls, Two of Us, We made it, Too young) but you can still see he's having fun and enjoying his youth (Always you, Kill my mind, Fearless, Perfect now) while growing up as a man and as an artist. His voice is a masterpiece, never seen anything alike! Louis Tomlinson has a lot of talent and I'm excited to see more of his work.

    Walls is one of the best albums I've heard in the last few years, honest and optimistic compositions, incredible vocals and the sound is as close as Louis has ever come to his identity. This boy has a lot of potential and this album proves it!

Alternative feels with Walls. Fearless give me those youth feelings you can't get at these age. You can feel it he poured his heart out in this album, andThis is what we need on the radio.     Listening to the whole album made me tear up and just sounded completely different than how I heard his singles. I feel Louis really let us into his mind through his music. His songs aren't just made for the fans but for himself. You can tell how much time he put into but the heart each song holds. I honestly am so proud of him.

    I honestly never payed much attention to one direction but after hearing that Louis Tomlinson was the last of the boys to release an album I thought I would check it out. My unbiased opinion is that ‘Walls’ is one of the best albums to be released by a 1D member. He may not have the ‘strongest’ voices but he knows how to use his voice incredibly well. I also love the oasis vibe. 10/10

I wasn't really sure what to expect from a one direction member trying to venture into the likes of indie and Oasis inspired music but Louis Tomlinson has outsold himself. I feel incredibly lucky to have chosen to give this album a listen for I'm addicted to it now. Starting from the peppy, fast beats of kill my mind to the soul-touching only the brave and with lyrical masterpieces like fearless and don't let it break your heart, Louis Tomlinson proves himself worthy of every accolade he ever recieved. His falsetto and the bridge in defenseless are really impressive. There's a taste of 1D here and there in songs like perfect now but what else do you expect from someone who was responsible for more than half of the band's lyrical masterpieces. I wish there was a rating of 1000/10 to give because that's what this album deserves. Louis Tomlinson may not be perfect but he's definitely one of the best musicians and songwriters in the world.… Expand

    This album is pure and raw. I cannot stress this enough when I say this the most honest album. There are not enough musical experiments but speaks volumes to listener to keep you hooked. Always You and Habit are jams. This album is packed with songs for your highs and lows. The most amazing thing about this album is Louis' vocals obviously for those who love a little raw and raspy voice.

    This album exceeded the expectations. Tomlinson's shining lyrical style shows that he played a pivotal role in writing most of the one direction hits (he's got the highest writing credits). His vocals bring out every emotion perfectly. The album is pure, raw and honest.

    Tomlinson's debut album is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. The lyrics, vocals and melodies are just perfect. He's telling us a story. He's the story. This album got me through so many different emotions, something I've never felt before. Definitely my favourite so far. Louis Tomlinson is the most talented man I've ever known.

You can actually see a little bit of this midway-change during the album by comparing some songs in it, but it doesn't make the experience less magic. It's a mix, it's an experiment, a transition. It's his first album and he gave his best. This is only a small piece of what Louis is capable of as a solo artist, something that a lot of people wouldn't expect of him back in the One Direction's times, when he tried to guarantee his place as a songwriter due to the lack of attention he had on the vocals, for example. Only The Brave is the perfect ending for Walls and for what Louis still has to tell us in his next works. It sounds really personal and intimate, even though he didn't write on this track. In the middle of 11 tracks that were all written by him, we can say that he chose it for a reason, that's for sure.     Esbarrei neste álbum enquanto procurava uma música do Noel Gallagher já que, aparentemente, ele leva créditos por uma das músicas (o que é chocante se levarmos em conta que ele nunca autorizou nenhuma música com sonoridade próxima ou igual as do Oasis ou dele próprio). É notável a influencia dos irmãos Gallagher’s neste álbum e fiquei chocada que veio de um ex-boyband; o som dos violinos eEsbarrei neste álbum enquanto procurava uma música do Noel Gallagher já que, aparentemente, ele leva créditos por uma das músicas (o que é chocante se levarmos em conta que ele nunca autorizou nenhuma música com sonoridade próxima ou igual as do Oasis ou dele próprio). É notável a influencia dos irmãos Gallagher’s neste álbum e fiquei chocada que veio de um ex-boyband; o som dos violinos e a voz leve e limpa, porém com uma rouquidão gostosinha, me prendeu totalmente e me fez ouvir todas as musicas. Acredito que uma ou duas poderiam estar fora (eu diria Perfect Now e We Made It, que foram mais para um lado pop), mas todas as outras dão uma excelência indiscutível a este álbum. Walls, Kill My Mind e Only the Brave certamente se destacam majestosamente. Para finalizar, algo que não pude deixar de notar foi a neutralidade dos gêneros nas músicas; se não me engano houve apenas uma em que ele cita a palavra “queen/rainha”, dando a entender que é uma mulher, entretanto, em nenhuma outra há essa especificação. O que torna tudo mais interessante porque as musicas poderão ser usadas tanto por pessoas heterossexuais, como por homoafetivas. Posso dizer que Louis Tomlinson certamente ganhou mais uma fã!… Expand

    i absolutely loved this one! the lyrics really touched me, it's so full of emotion and true. also the sound deserves a highlight here, it's different from current pop and what appears on the radio, and it's really good! i think it's innovative and authentic, a really good album!

    An album with a very good production, both the vocals and instrumentals are great. Very impressive for a debut album by someone who is still finding his style after leaving a band. I hope Tomlinson continues to provide us with his incredible work.

I’ve always seen his fans waiting and waiting for this moment and I think the wait was worth, it’s and incredible album full of emotions. Two Of Us got me on crying, he sang it with all his heart and I could feel exactly what he was trying to pass.     Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
