Walk Between Worlds offers further proof that Simple Minds can flaunt what they are because they finally understand just who they are.

At times, it teeters between nostalgia and self-parody. .... But you can forgive the odd-slip-up, because the whole thing sounds so joyous. [Mar 2018, p.115]

This sense of fearlessness permeates this album. Simple Minds positions themselves perfectly on Worlds: not trying to relive past victories nor trying to match up with the sound of current chart hits. Kerr, his longtime bandmate Charlie Burchill and the current lineup of the group remain true to themselves, with a wonderful collection of dramatic, thoughtful songs that contains messages that can serve both personal and universal concerns.

The synth-heavy The Signal & The Noise shows they can still quest when the mood takes them, but overall the album plays to Simple Minds’ many strengths.

An expansive, atmospheric reboot of the muscular melancholy of 1985's Once Upon A Time. [Mar 2018, p.32]

For now, though, they’ve managed to rekindle their affairs and surprise a few doubters.

It’s still undeniably cinematic and heartfelt, but clearly the work of mature heads reflecting on excesses of their past.

Sonically never less than knowingly enormous, but concise at eight tracks, Walk Between Worlds is sure and strong. [Mar 2018, p.91]

The deep, surging bass pulse that opens “Summer” suggests a more focused approach, but before long Jim Kerr’s descending again into his dreams, anticipating “all those energies” amidst yet another miasmic, swirling sea of sound, and the song just evaporates into a mist of queasy bombast.

The Signal And The Noise, Barrowland Star, In Dreams, Walk Between Worlds & Utopia is just one of best songs that Simple Minds released in last years.

Featured too to 2 great new bonus track, Silent Kiss & Angel Underneath My Skin...

    Highly Recommend It.

Simple Minds actually has overcome themselves, Because Walk Between Worlds is more diversified than Big Music (2014), the songs are really different one of another, and each one at their sounds are all great songs.

The Best Album yet of 2018. Long Live to Simple Minds!!!!
