Editors v.2 is a new band. They should have stopped using the same name after Chris departure. Because this line-up lacks ideas and the 2 new members contributed to this decandence. All the tracks on this album are souless, too many loops, too many remix-based tracks and even Tom Smith seems forced to sing... Too many Hoaww Hoaww is a proof of the lack of criativity. All the tracks on this album are souless, too many loops, too many remix-based tracks and even Tom Smith seems forced to sing... Too many Hoaww Hoaww is a proof of the lack of criativity. What about the lyrics? Well, there's no inspiration at all, everything seems so obvious on this album... I even dare to say that one of these bland tracks seems a la Robbie Williams, other tracks Coldplayish. Editors v.2 are a copy of other bands that everyone knows. Record after record Editors become nothing. They will be touring the US soon, maybe it is a chance for the band to recruit Chris once again and stop this Editors v.2 parody. I bought this album expecting a better direction after the boring IN DREAM. I spent my money for nothing. Time to stop listening to this band. Expand

The album altogether is enjoyable but risks too much as a method of visualizing its distinction from the band's preceding albums.

Violence may make you roll your eyes as much as tap your feet, but when everything comes together, Editors manage to sound like a genuinely exciting prospect for the first time in years.

The results okays to their strengths. ... There's a lightness of touch here lost since An End Has A Start a decade ago. [May 2018, p.108]
