Nov 18, 2024It may lack a real ‘big’ moment (akin to fan favourite track Big Dipper), but Warmduscher’s latest album oozes with variety, talented musicianship and their inimitably endearing weirdness.
-
Nov 19, 2024This is the best Warmduscher album, and arguably the best album produced by anyone from the Fat Whites stable since 2017’s The Moonlandingz debut.
-
Nov 18, 2024If the start of Too Cold To Hold is faintly predictable, the rest of the album opens up into something rather more unexpected. The band have always weaved elements of hip-hop and jazz into their messed-up punk-funk but here they’ve refined it and pushed it forward. The sounds seem richer and more ambitious.
-
Nov 18, 2024Too Cold to Hold is also one of this year’s most acute depictions of 21st Century turmoil.

Record CollectorNov 18, 2024With the hollering title track even lamenting astronomical energy bills, it seems Warmduscher have fuel left in the tank yet. [Dec 2024, p.109]
-
UncutNov 18, 2024It might seem late in the day to be claiming they’ve hit their stride, but Too Cold To Hold is the sound of a differently aspected and ultimately more satisfying Warmduscher. [Dec 2024, p.39]

MojoNov 21, 2024There are tender moments, too, such as Lianne La Havas’s guest-spot on sodium-lit ballad Body Shock, but this is largely a record of brash textures from a band relishing the margins. [Jan 2025, p.83]
