    Then Came the Morning never overcomes its distance; Williams can keen all he wants, but he’s no louder than someone speaking right to you, right in front of you.

    All of the composite aspects that make this band so compelling are present on Then Came the Morning. Unfortunately, they’re misallocated in pretty obvious ways.

    It isn't the breath of fresh air that their first album was but it is still a decent enough follow up. Some of the slower sad songs can get aIt isn't the breath of fresh air that their first album was but it is still a decent enough follow up. Some of the slower sad songs can get a bit boring and start to sound somewhat generic but there are enough songs that feel like they are unique and separate themselves from the others. I'd say that my three favorite songs from the album are Take My Love, To the Woods, and Then Came the Morning. Full Review »

    They are obviously talented musicians, and the music itself is fairly pleasant, but The Lone Bellow does very little to separate themselvesThey are obviously talented musicians, and the music itself is fairly pleasant, but The Lone Bellow does very little to separate themselves from the influx of folk rock/psychedelic rock bands that have sprung up in the last few years, making this album relatively forgettable.
