    This album fluctuates between high and low energy tracks, starting with high energy HOTFOOT, the standout track in my opinion. Lots of concepts are being thrown around here. Listening to this, I was never bored. Contrary to what a lot of people have said about this album, I think the lyrical content is one of the highlights.     Doldrums have given voice to the psychology of the outsider, fashioning a work of art whose queasy, warped nature is just too hard to shake.

    If the poetry of his words doesn’t match the elegance of his music, it doesn’t matter too much; the effect still lands, and Woodhead’s chilling croon over the stormy, volatile electronics he commands speaks more than his words ever could anyway.

    There's something here, but it's not totally revealed and unfortunately, the record feels more like a notebook of unwhittled concepts than an assertive statement.
