    The album shows her music growth. Ariana is finally finding herself through this music and has made her most personal record. If she continues like that it is for sure that she will find "her" sound. It is a pretty cohesive album and i dare to say, maybe her best album to date.

    Ariana has been known for her pop style but her R&B style was also what she was known for. She takes a chance to step into the R&B and somehow it actually worked. She creates songs that are soothing and meaningful yet some songs have a empowerment tone to it. Ariana has always been doubted for what she produces but this is one of her best works!

    This is like one of her best albums and one of the best albums of this year! The only songs that I didn't feel that good about were The Light Is Coming, Successful and Borderline but the rest of the album is AMAZING! It gives you chill vibes and it's so good to listen to it. The best ones are obviously the 2 singles and Breathin (the best on from the album). Another great work from Ariana!

    Me encantó el album, al principio me extraño los distintos sonidos que ofrecía pero finalmente me terminaron gustando. Puedo decir que Sweetener es uno de sus trabajos mas arriesgados pero también es uno de los que mas le puso más corazón. Hay que hacerle mención especial a piezas como "no tears left to cry", "breathin" o "everytime" que son las mejores del álbum a mi parecer.     She disappointed me. 15 songs and after listening for 6 hours only 4 made it to my daily playlist. There are too many skips. The album lacks artistic growth completely where are the vocals? Exquisite lyricism? Where’s the pop anthems? It was so lack luster and completely void of creativity, it sounds like a kidz bop album. Wtf. I’m distressed that this was so disappointing. Do better Ariana.

    The album is not bad. The second part is so good. But the first part is awful. Pharrell is a good producer and he has made great hits, but lately he’s not that good. The songs produced by him are bad. Thanks God Max Martin and Ilya were on the production of some songs. Ari, you can do better. Dangerous Woman remains superior.

    This wasn’t what I was expecting at all. Only 2 sounds besides the singles we’re decent the rest were straight garbage. No artistic growth, it sounds like a kids pop machine . Not what you’d expect from an A vocalist, wtf were the lyrics in this album? If she contributed then she needs to not take on writing anymore sweetie. The production was crap. All feats is sooo building and connective, I liked every. Get well soon is wonderful and I cried with this song, cause is sooo intuitive and beautiful.     Even if you don't like the production or set up of songs, her vocals and lyricism alone can carry this entire Album.Critically this is definitely her best album to date knowing what she wants out of this album, the nice transitions, the amazing adlibs blended with harmonies, and very new and unique sound from her.

    It is incredibly that every song that Pharrell isn't involved in the production or composition are the bests from the album. It's not her best work but it surely has some amazing songs, like breathin, oh, the vibes and lyrics of this song are just on point.

    Experimental. Different. Unique. Vocals are full and these songs have texture to them. The second listen is what solidifies the excellence of these songs. Bare with it, the vibes are hard to not enjoy.

    O disco fará você sentir-se apaixonado, angustiado e feliz. Momentos como REM e Better Of são os melhores do álbum.

    O álbum realmente está incrível, mostrando um novo lado da Ariana, que não se prende a um gênero que as pessoas gostam e impõem, ela saiu de sua zona de conforto, para inovar, espero que em seu próximo álbum ela inove mais ainda seu contexto musical e tente também alguns outros estilos (nos que ela se encaixe, obviamente).

    Sem dúvida alguma, esse é um dos melhores álbuns da carreira da cantora Ariana Grande, expressa muito bem o lado espiritual da cantora, e ainda mais, não é aquele álbum farofa tradicional igual aos outros, e sim, e um álbum bem diferente de qualquer outro que tenha sido lançado nesse ano!

    Ariana trás algo novo em Sweetener, diferente do que ela já fez nos albuns anteriores, a parceria com Pharrell é duvidosa e eu estava reciosos, porém me surpreendi, o trabalho é lindo e nos da algo realmente sweet para escutar, é um deleito.

The lyrics are childish and unpleasant and there's no hiding it especially on the singles no tears left to cry and god is a woman additionally the melodies are weak overall. The production is laced with a number of throwaway trap beats and a lot of incomplete sounds. the concepts are very superficiallyThis is truly terrible. However, if you had to compare this to other modern R&B albums (A seat at the table, ctrl, 24k magic, ANTi, awaken my love, trip etc ) it doesn't come close and as a pop album it lacks immaculate production and powerful melodic writing (think 1989, Loud, Prism, Starboy etc) to leave any memorable impact.… Expand

    Grande’s new sound, the Williams-produced Not-Bangers, only make up half of the album. These standout tracks are interspersed between standard pop tracks. ... That’s not to say that the Bangers on Sweetener are bad--it’s more that they belong in previous era of Grande and they spoil the flow between songs. Sweetener may not be the dawning of a new age for Ariana but it could be a step towards somewhere weird and wonderful.

    Ms. Grande backs up her statements with song-and-dance mastery. ... She’s her own choir, support group and posse. While a few guest vocalists (Mr. Williams, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott) provide a little grit for contrast, Ms. Grande sails above any fray, past or present. Her aplomb is her triumph.
