Simply put, their sound has organically reached a more developed state. Each song brings something new to the table with few tunes just bleeding together.

It's well-recorded, well-written, and teeming with both force and emotional depth.

There are certainly traces of the band's past traits, except this time they err more on the side of being endearing quirks than being the slightly off-putting extras they once were.

After the band’s album-by-album leaps in musical ability and acumen, it’s no surprise finding this much talent behind the band’s jokey exterior, but when they employ it in fresh ways, The Coathangers can sound like an entirely different band.
