  1. Each moment is devoted to the continuing shifts in dynamics and song, and Aloha sounds sharper than ever before.
  2. Like a computer geek with a romantic streak, Ohio's Aloha straddle the line between trad songcraft and proggy virtuosity.
  3. While it starts a bit slowly, Aloha’s fourth proper album is filled with signature pieces that are stunningly relentless.
  4. While Some Echoes starts out as a good album, by the end it reveals itself as the best thing they've ever done.

It's prog without pretense, pop with a brain. [#13, p.83]

They... seem to be getting better at distilling their myriad of influences into dreamy, quietly elusive four-minute pop songs. [Jun 2006, p.178]
  7. Never has Aloha sounded so tight, so completely in control of its sound, so assured of that sound.
