    Sombrou Dúvida feels like another strong set of jams with a constant flow of bells and whistles transforming it into a tripped-out daydream.

    On their latest album Sombrou Dùvida, they transition from the oft-playful homage and stage-ready jams of previous releases to a serious attempt at tight, kaleidoscopic grooves, and the results are akin to a pleasant, cerebral trip--a little more potent than the edibles sold from wagons in Dolores Park, but nothing quite Leary-caliber.

Apenas registrar minha admiração por essa banda brasileira que conseguiu desviar dos clichés mpbistas e loshermanísticos e criar um estilo de amplitude sonora global e dinâmica, que soa boa nos EUA, na Europa, no Japão e nas Filipinas, sem precisar abrir mão de certas brasilidades. Não é nem aquele artista que tem horror em não parecer do samba, do carnaval, do identitarismo brasilista, do boteco e da cachaça, e nem o grupinho classe média Open English que mais parece banda gringa cantando em inglês ruim e sem sentido lírico.
