So Long... is deeply rooted in west Coast sunset pop, more Fleetwood Mac than Del McCoury, although her guitar picking is always precise, imaginative, and, on "The Highway Knows", utterly joyful. [Oct 2025, p.35]

There's some beautiful songs about the road. .... Opening track Everything Burns has a dark mood and some great guitar - Tuttle's guitar playing is more up-front on this album. [Sep 2025, p.81]

Molly Tuttle has always had smarts and talent to spare, and on So Long Little Miss Sunshine, she's using her gifts in ways that are new to her, and the risks pay off handsomely; this may not make her into the next Taylor Swift, but by all rights it should win her the larger audience she certainly deserves.

It’s not entirely bluegrass this time around, which could bother some fans. She’s stretching her sound mildly and clearly enjoying the process. The result is an excellent written, impeccably performed, highly entertaining album.
