Aug 28, 2020It seems Katy tries the same thing for years, even when everybody saw it won't fit. This album is actually better than Witness, but also sucks.

Aug 28, 2020Just not a good album, the only song that stands out is NRO and it’s a song from last year that stinks of desperation to put on the album to boost streams.
-
Aug 28, 2020Really did not enjoy. It was okay but it was definitely nothing new or exciting
-
Aug 29, 2020The album is super boring I didnt like at all. It has only three good songs.
-
Aug 28, 2020To be honest, it's far below Katie Perry's normal level. It's stupid to put some old songs on the album for better results

-
Aug 29, 2020Her music has not progressed over the years and lacks depth. The album is not cohesive and some lyrics are banal.
-
Aug 28, 2020Bad! The Sound is very simple and bored! Is An album that leaves much to be desired
-
-
Aug 28, 2020This is really bad. It is like " I need more music to became my buzz singles into a new album before the public forget me".
-
Sep 1, 2020I think this is her worst album so far. It has nothing in special, it is not memorable and it is boring.
-
Aug 28, 2020It should be called Frown rather than Smile. There wasn’t a single ounce of originality in this album. She hasn’t been able to release good music since 2013. And even that was a stretch. Come on Katy. Give us good music, that you put your heart and soul into. This just ain’t it. You may have finally got back your smile, but you need to get back your talent..

Aug 30, 2020Disappointed, this album is all cliché music by Katy Perry from the 2010s. Nothing new, same boring beats, 16 year old teen lyrics. Sad Clown: This is Katie's true face. She brought nothing new to pop music, except for boredom and apathy.
-

Aug 28, 2020In spite of, or maybe because of, her promotional spectacles—Left Shark, the whipped cream bra, teasing her baby’s name with a single release—she’s long been able to comfortably assume legions of people will listen to her music, without even asking themselves why. The unspoken question of Smile is: Why now?
-
Aug 28, 2020The album is boring. Only good song is Harleys in Hawaii. Was expecting more.
-
Aug 28, 2020Such a boring and basic Album! It sounds like Perry is stuck in her confort zone, making music for children (which has worked for he in the past but not anymore). Forgettable songs and basic production.
-
-
Aug 28, 2020Very uninspired and has shown little or no growth from previous albums. I loved Katy Perry’s first albums but then it stayed the same for years.
-
Aug 28, 202056??? is too much for this **** pray to continue like this katy, this is your worst album, stay with god
-
Aug 28, 2020It's sad that a big pop star such Katy Perry had declined this way. Smile has no cohesion as an album itself. Three songs are only the exception. She should take a rest and bring pop music what it deserves.

-
Aug 28, 2020I wanted to like it as some who recieved the vinyl early said it was amazing. But every song was just meh. It sounds like 2010 pop with the same basic lyrics. I did kinda like Not the end of the world, but to spend an hour listening to a whole album to find 1 song I might listen to again kind of sucks.

Sep 8, 2020Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.
-
Sep 4, 2020While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.
-
Aug 31, 2020Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
