Aug 28, 2020It´s so terrible that it doesn't even deserve a review. I can only say that at least this album is better than Witness (and that's not a compliment) and there are two good songs like Never Really Over and Cry About it Later. Katy Perry should really think about retiring, because she's adding literally nothing to the music industry. "but she's indie now". No, she's not even that.
-
Aug 28, 2020It has some good songs, but most of the songs are quite basic. Most part of a song sounds repetitive, not fresh, and I don't like her voice that much, especially high note.
-
Aug 28, 2020Its good but its not my favourite I mean c´mon you can do it better. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
-
Aug 28, 2020It’s okay but not really good music. It is like each KP Album. The lead single is trashy and cheap pop music.
-
Aug 28, 2020Although some songs are okay, there is no cohesion as an album itself. It looks like the super star Katy Perry used to be in the past, it's not going to have a impact in pop culture if she continues this way. However, "Tucked" "Cry About Later" and "Harley's In Hawaii" are exceptions.
-
Aug 28, 2020Basic lyrics that are corny. At times she nails it but it feels like an album loaded with filler tracks. It has a cohesive message but it fails to deliver lyrically.

Aug 28, 2020El álbum están básico, que realmente se siente la misma vibra de sus anteriores trabajos, pero tiene un ritmo único que es esencial en este álbum
-
Aug 28, 2020Personally, I loved Daisies, Never really over, and not the end of the world, but the rest of the album relied too heavily on cheesy lyrics and witness era beats, instead of pushing for something new like she did with Daisies. Honestly kind of disappointed with this album, as I had hoped that we would get an album with songs more similar to Daisies.
-
Aug 28, 2020Katy Perry has been making music that is not too comercial as her first albums, it is an album that is not comercial even she tried. In my opinion it is her best lyric album, but not more.
-
Aug 28, 2020I think the music is good, but Katy's style is gone and I don't think it will return. So sad
-
Aug 28, 2020It was an incredible album but Katy should also know how to venture in different areas of music.
-
Aug 29, 2020An extremely clichéd and generic pop album. Katy has some gems in her repertoire but unfortunately this is not it. Lack of experimentation and trying to recreate the magic of her iconic hits is what it is.
-
Aug 29, 2020Just 4 good songs, the rest with boring rhythms, even though the lyrics are cute, sorry K
-
Aug 30, 2020Hmm... I am so sad to say, but this album is not going to do it for Katy. It’s to easy and cliche. Sometimes even awkward. I love Katy, but hate the new album. It’s disappointing to say, because she can do so much better!
-
Aug 31, 2020Katy Perry paints herself as an underdog, someone who was cast out of pop heaven. Isn’t she the 8th best-selling female artist of all time? And hasn’t she broke and/or set so many records? The reason no one cares about Katy Perry anymore is because she gave up on her own career. Had she promoted “Smile” better, this could’ve been her Mariah Carey-esque moment. She needs a reality check.

Nov 12, 2020nothing different among NTEOTW, Teary Eyes and Cry About It Later. poor producing, poor vocal and poor concept too. so sad, hope she will get the energy from previous eras soon
-
Mar 29, 2021Finally destroyed his career and reputation by releasing this...I can't even find the words
-
Sep 1, 2020This is a better attempt than Witness, that's for sure. But the whole record sounds like rejects from her previous work.
-
Aug 29, 2020All songs sound the same, there's no innovation to her music in the past 5 years. I think it's time for her to explore new genres.
-
Sep 10, 2020It’s sad to see modern pop icon and one of the best-selling artists of 2010’s to come up with album like Smile. That’s it, that’s the review.
-
Aug 29, 2020Fraco, esquecível e imemorável. Katy consegue ser melhor, mas infelizmente Smile é um álbum que one poeira em relação a outros lançamentos.
-
Aug 28, 2020You have to be honest, for an artist of the stature of Katy Perry this is not a good album. It's not soo bad and it's okay that i wanted to make a personal album, however that doesn't mean that this album is forgetful anf boring.
-
Aug 28, 2020No es ni bueno ni malo, pero la cosa es que llevo años esperando más de katy y siempre me decepciona :/
-
Nov 4, 2021I don't like to think superstar Katy Perry did this, there's lack of everything, but nice try.
-
Aug 28, 2020Not really impressed... i miss teenage dream vibes. But I admit she's done a medium work
-
Aug 28, 2020Sinceramente esperaba algo más de este álbum, pero creo que fue error mío tener mis expectativas demasiado altas. El álbum no es tan malo pero no es algo que recomendaría o escucharía seguido

Aug 28, 2020A kid's bop album with a few bops. Disappointed in the lack of artistic growth from her after all these years.

Sep 8, 2020Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.
-
Sep 4, 2020While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

Aug 31, 2020Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
