    I'll cry about it later

    Tonight I'm gettin' some

“Not The End Of The World” build a strong atmosphere that grows

It's not the end of the world
No, not the end of the world
Throw on your fancy attire, fears in the fire
    Don't lose hope
    It's no funeral we're attending
    Actually, just the beginning
Throw on your fancy attire, fears in the fire
    Don't lose hope
It's not the end of the, no, not the end of the world

“Teary Eyes” is one of the songs that will totally be played on the floor (after this pandemic for sure)

The critics have been shamefully unfair on this album. Most reviews I have read have not even been about the music and were just conoaring Katy to other artists or telling her to be more experimental. Which is funny because they didnt like her being experimengal on Witness. This album from start to finish is incredible, no skips. I think this is the best album of this year. It contains super rhythms and mind-thinking topics about mental health which are important to be spoken about. I consider as my most favorite piece on the album the song called "Not the End Of the World". It has strong melody and amazing lyrics. This album does not have skip songs. Each song is unique and it has its own powerful message. It'sI think this is the best album of this year. This album is AMAZING! experimental melodies, a pleasant return to elettropop, with an 80’s mix, all accompained by introspective lyrics. My favourites are Cry About It Later and Tucked, but also Not The End of the World and Teary Eyes don’t joke! If you’re searching for a Dance album, Smile is the one for you!

With Smile, Perry assures that she delivers and executes carefully crafted songwriting and rhythmic melodies, much needed at the time being of its release.

SMILE is a perfect album. Every single song is perfect, catchy, and well-produced. People are giving this album bad reviews on purpose. Please give it a try and don't trust the critics.

Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
