And no other album of hers showcases her vocals quite as well as it does in this album with tracks like resilient with her vocals are on full display. But the lyrics on this song still cut deep, with songs like only love showing the most mature side Katy we have seen. But other songs on the album show us classic fun pop Katy with tracksThis is Katie Perry’s most emotionally mature album.     My favorite album so far! The instruments, her voice and the power that she has put on this record make this one so sweetie and powerful. God job Katy Perry.

    katy delivered a wonderful job, katy is pop itself and delivered something very cohesive, undoubtedly one of his greatest works

    Definitely her best work to date. Besides most tracks sounding outdated or too cliché, Katy completely reached her goal; to make people smile :) This album exhales good, uplifting energy.

    Great piece of music, she’s telling her story, she’s explaining how she made it through the other side. The songs in the album are sorted to represent the phases she rub into. The first with sadness and tears, then how to heal from what hurt you and finally how to celebrate the journey. I’m really thankful (scratch that, I’m grateful) for this album!

    This is the best album of 2020, Smile shows maturity and evolution. Katy Perry in this album we find the way she growth and progression.
    After an era of experimenting new sounds, that was not for every person. Smile is funny, magical and powerful all in the same amount of energy.

    This is one of her best albums so far. Not The End Of The World and Tucked are the peak songs of the record and they must be singles.

    Listening to Katy Perry's work is always a wonderful satisfaction. More and more she has been surprising us with her work and especially now with the arrival of her new album "Smile" which has a great soundtrack. I'm just in love and dancing at the same time!

    Katy is a pop powerhouse, there is no doubt about that, but this album is the future of “poptimism”. It’s packed with her unique style of hiding deep themes under cryptic “bubblegum “ lyrics. It’s clearly on the other side of the spectrum compared to Witness, but it feels like there is more depth and cohesiveness between lyrics and sound. Miss Perry did it again!

    Wow this shows that critics shouldn’t be taken seriously, Smile is a great album and probably one of her best! Cry About It Later is probably my favourite on the album but they’re all amazing songs

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
