    Katy Perry delivered an incredible album this year where we were in need of resilience and encouragement. All of the songs connect, Perry's mature lyrics and vocals are constantly evolving. "Cry About It Later", "Teary Ayes" and "Not The End Of The World" are the songs that most stand out in this work. Resillient brings you to another world that is so perfect. Smile Album Of The Year.

    Um dos melhores álbuns pop do ano, os críticos nunca foram muito agradáveis com os álbuns da Katy Perry e ainda sim ela manteve a sua relevância no público. O Smile possui músicas muito boas, das quais merecem maior atenção Not The End of The World, Teary Eyes e Cry About it Later, que são músicas perfeitas.

    I am not sure why are the critic reviews so harsh? I can speak for myself and other that this album was just wonderful and filled up with many good messages and rhythm -the kind of rhythm you look up when you’re willing to hear Katy Perry’s music. I can see here that everyone is loving the album at its own way and I’m sure this is her best work since witness wasn’t really much of a goodI am not sure why are the critic reviews so harsh? I can see here that everyone is loving the album at its own way and I’m sure this is her best work since witness wasn’t really much of a good thing. The “expert” critics are just unnecessarily harsh over Katy Perry rather than anything else and that gives me a very bitter taste of this website in general. I hope metacritic does something about it because it suddenly stopped being a normal critic to become child’s play.… Expand

Critics might not be taking Katy seriously when it comes to her work (especially considering how biased and uneducated the critics can be), but the fans say otherwise. They (me included) love the album so much. THIS IS THE BRAND NEW KATY.Her best work so far. It's represents everything about Katy from her maturity being in her 30s now, to her infectious yet powerful and meaningful lyrics.     The songs are so good and so catchy. Katy Perry is one of the few artists that can reinvente herself with ease. She brings back her Teenage Dream vibes with SMILE. It’s maybe her best album. Cry about it later and Not the end of the world are my favorites songs right now.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
