At times the full band arrangements bring more muscle than we’re used to hearing from her, but songs such as Divine and the closing Worship Me are certainly in the vein of what’s come before.

Too much of the record lacks that song's percussive drive; all the pretty singing and unhurried tempos start to blend into a tepid listen, and the experimental near-spoken-word turn on Strange is just, well, strange.

There is a reason why this album has such great reviews. Because it is a great album!

The first three songs have a strong percussive drive to them that made me excited for the rest of the album, but after that a lot of the songs are slower and sometimes boring. I think Laura is very talented, and when shes good she's REALLY good, but I wish the album had more consistency. It starts off fast paced and ends with a lingering feel that makes it seem a bit lopsided.

Highlights: Warrior, False Hope, Gurdjieff's Daughter
