Nov 10, 2025He’s in a rich vein of form, seemingly unable to stop the music from pouring out. If you’re a long-term Kelly fan, the only real competition will be the songs already embedded in your life story. You might say it’s all gravy from here.
-
UncutNov 10, 2025Often sounds like a man having his most wretched suspicions of the human conditions confirmed, especially on the self-explanatory " The Body Keep The Score" and "I Keep On Coming Back For More". However, his signature bleary wit remains radiant, especially on "Rita Wrote A Letter". [Review of the Year 2025, p.26]

MojoNov 10, 2025Another songwriting masterclass. Again. [Dec 2025, p.78]

Record CollectorNov 10, 2025A solo album full pf easygoing blues, folk and rock that boasts insightful observations about aging and forging forward while navigating the modern world. [Dec 2025, p.102]

Nov 10, 2025‘It’s not all about me,’ Paul intimates, and, sure enough, he reiterates his point, albeit delicately, on “Part Two” of the composition that began the album. Still, if Kelly dares to suggest anything profound on Seventy, it is only through his wilful implication that the narratives surrounding us are as absorbing as our own, at least when perceived within the generosity of spirit permeating these recordings.
