  1. While it doesn't have the cohesive impact of "Hot Fuss" or "Sam's Town," it's an appealing set that brings a bit more breadth and depth to the group's catalog.

A collection that aims to sweep up the moments when the spotlight isn't on, Sawdust, therefore, might just be their defining document [Jan 2008, p.91]

Like the band itself, Sawdust is erratic, though at times, gratifyingly great. [30 Nov 2007, p.131]
  4. In spite of its self-depreciating title, this odds-and-sods collection of the usual B-sides and other spare tracks lives up to some of the best material the Las Vegas foursome have delivered.
  5. Some of Sawdust's best moments are "Sam's Town" rejects that sound like they were discarded for sounding too much like "Hot Fuss."
  6. A respectable collection which raises the question: why do the Killers pad their albums out with mediocre filler, when they have at least some decent alternative material to spare?

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. ok this is by far my favorite killers album ever made. even though most of these songs are B-sides or covers every one of them are just amazing works of art. and there is a Sam's town version on this title and it is beautiful and its also my favorite killers song so its great to have this edition. there is also a great Mr.Briteside remix but its more just a distorted version rather that a remix (and I don't see the point) but all of the covers are great and one of my favorites is ruby don't take your love to town. but there are a lot of good ones here too be seen. and tranquilize, all these pretty faces etc. are written great by the killers themselves! ok well this album is a strong well produced album. its a very great buy too:) Full Review »
