    Definitely her best body of work she has ever released. Every song has a different sound which makes the album really versatile, but it still sounds cohesive as a whole. You can also see the artistic growth from her previous works. Mature, vulnerable, sophisticated and powerful would be the best words to describe it. 10/10

    It's GOOD. Honestly, look at her now, a prereleased song, is one of the weaker songs. I was worried it would be the opposite. A strong project with great features. Dance again!! Crowded room!! VULNERABLE!!!!! I'm so glad I get to listen to this.

    O álbum não possui nada de novo, isso é um FATO. Rare, que possui mais compositores que "We are you world" - Michael Jackson, não se desenvolve como o prometido. Os singles 'Lose you to love me' e 'Look at her now' fazem sim certo sentido ao que ela quer dizer, mas o resto das faixas são COMPLETAMENTE SEM NEXOS E DESCARTÁVEIS e que não mostram o 'amor próprio' dito pelos singles.     Outro contexto que não favoreceu é que não é COESO na sequência de faixas. Qual é o nexo de botar 1, 2 músicas sobre auto-aceitação pra depois ter 9, 11 músicas para relembrar que ainda sente falta do cara que ela tanto fala? NENHUMA.

Rare is catchy, pop, dreamy; Dance Again is more dark, but also linked to what she’s been through; Ring and Vulnerable are hits!!! Then we have People You Know: this song relates to me to the MAX!!!
    Let Me Get Me, Kinda Crazy, Fun and Cut You Off are simply genius song, a mix of genres, very pop but always truthful song!
    And then we have Crowded Room and A Sweeter Place: I have to be honest, I was expecting more with the 6lack feat, but A Sweeter Place is lit!!! I’ve listened the album twice now, and I’m honestly so proud of Selena! Peace out    … Expand

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
