    With a really good produced songs, Selena gave us a melancolic, symphonic and metaphorical album with lyrics that are in the same level as the instrumentals, furthermore her non-high voice give to the album a softly sound. Although with those lyrics and sounds the featurings got annoying in an album that proves it isn't collaborations nededed.

Comparing the amazing singles like Bad Liar and Fetish to this new collection of songs really highlights the decline in quality.     Selena Gomez is back and freer than ever. This album is everything but rare. It feels liberating, confident and powerful. Gomez has for sure reinvented herself and her sound. I can hear a dramatic but very sweet and correct musical evolution. The album sounds like spring; a rose flowering from the darkest moments of life to emerge from the ground as one of the world's most beautiful gifts.Selena Gomez is back and freer than ever. This album is everything but rare. It feels liberating, confident and powerful. Gomez has for sure reinvented herself and her sound. I can hear a dramatic but very sweet and correct musical evolution. The album sounds like spring; a rose flowering from the darkest moments of life to emerge from the ground as one of the world's most beautiful gifts. It is truly inspiring how Selena has been able to leave the "Stars Dance" mainstream pop and its desire to earn a gold certification apart and focus on making an album that is loyal to her personality and her underrated vocal ability. Gomez sounds amazing in this whisper tone register and breathy voice in this act of divine ruthlessness, full of dance-y, mid-tempo clarity project.
    The album doesn't have a storyline at all and doesn't mainly focus on her fight against lupus nor her romantic relationships, which is something I wanted to listen from her. Neverthless, with this album she is making a statement of confidence, self-empowerment and self-love, focusing on herself. Definitely a smart move for the singer.
    Gomez has made an album that feels like a conversation with herself, making "Rare" the album that she'll for sure remember as her most personal and loved one to date since it plays the role of a love letter to herself written with Swedish pop music mixed with a little bit of craziness and weirdness. However, Ring proves to be a fish out of water within the sound of the album. Selena bets on contagious beats and brought a good rhythm to the current pop.     I think it's a great pop album. So far 'crowed room', 'kinda crazy', 'cut you off', 'a sweeter place' and 'rare' are my favourites. Besides that I like 'let me get me' and 'people you know' as the more upbeat songs. I think it's her best work yet, not only here to entertain but also telling her story truthfully. I think the album name 'RARE' is so well-chosen because it's exactly what theI think it's a great pop album.     After nearly 5 years, it was nothing like I expected. It is, however, cohesive and emotional in a way that Selena Gomez usually isn't. She's setting the tone for the year - and the decade - with a solid 3rd solo album/6th overall.

    Rare is a step forward from Revival to a more cohesive sound and album as a whole in which Selena showcases her growth in the last few years not only as an artist but also as a human being, a partner and a woman who is constantly learning to love and treasure herself.

    It’s a well elaborated pop album, no doubts about it.
    However some formulas used for the songs may be already explored, such as Ring trying to emulate Señorita latin vibe. Overall is a pretty enjoyable album. Top picks may be: Rare, Lose you to love me and People you know.

Nesse novo conteúdo, podemos ver a evolução da cantora no cenário pop em que a mesma está inserido, como por exemplo “Cut You Off” e “Crowded Room”. Percebemos também que, em algumas partes do novo disco, a sonoridadeUm álbum MUITO bom! Existem algumas músicas nesse projeto que não me agradaram tanto e que deixaram a experiência meio massiva, mas, em um todo, a qualidade permanece alta. Nesse novo conteúdo, podemos ver a evolução da cantora no cenário pop em que a mesma está inserido, como por exemplo “Cut You Off” e “Crowded Room”. Percebemos também que, em algumas partes do novo disco, a sonoridade de seu antecessor retorna, o que traz boas lembranças pra quem já havia o consumido anteriormente. E, apesar da incoesão em certas partes da tracklist, e pela falta de faixas como “Bad Liar”, “Fetish” e outras, esses só são alguns fatores também apagados diante de tantas qualidades que esse novo trabalho da Selena nos mostra.     Good album. This album has dedication, creativity and love. Awesome album about moving on after a heartbreak, lose you to love me is a great song. It's awesome and Selena really worked hard on this album. Yes, it is mainstream but her voice and meaning of the songs dont make it that bad, would love if this album had more different songs since 80% of it is about heartbreak but still great.

    it really great album from her. all the song is easy to be like, some song not kinda but it will grow after another listen, and the lyric kinda repetitive in some song but somehow its kinda selena thing. it really show a different side of her voice. the lyrics are great, and the productions is bop! u have to listen to this great album. l'm freaking love it.

    Selena Gomez's newest LP, "Rare", is nothing new, but it's addictive. The lyrics are meaningful and the songs are very catchy. The production is well done. I can truly agree it's one of her best albums. I would love to see her tackle something new in the future. But, for now, we have "Rare" to bop to.

    Rare is Selena's most cohesive work. While there are tracks in the album that are exceptionally good, I did find the production in others a bit off. Nevertheless, the album celebrates self-love and moving forward, which are great themes for self-empowerment.

In my opinion, some boring songs are "Sweeter Place," "Cut You Off," and "Fun." I wish I could like these, but I don't know I can't. But I like some of the songs like "Look At Her Now," "Vulnerable," and "Rare." This album is graceful and beautiful. And theThe "Rare" album was quite kinda different from her past albums.     Rare is a new perspective of Gomez's music career. It's a proof she's on her way to find own style. Each song is unique even that most of them are kept in pop-catchy vibe. Production's very clever and very good! What's more Selena gave us a beautiful lyrics to each track and while they also are very diffrent, it's easy to hear they are parts of Rare album.

    Over the course of 13 songs (all of which she obviously co-wrote), Gomez sounds like she is finally in control of her creative process and her craft. Saying this doesn't go in the sense that every song on here is flawless, the album has its forgettable moments of course, but its strong moments truly take off and win. The choice of singles is excellent: 'Lose You to Love Me' may have been one of the best, if not the best, comeback of 2019, and 'Look At Her Now', an enjoyable song about self-worth, turns out to be very fitting in the context of the record.

    The other moments where she truly shines are the ones on which she does things she wouldn't usually do: 'Ring' is probably the sassiest, most attitude-filled song Gomez has ever put out, 'Crowded Room' finds her singing with a flawless falsetto, and she even goes a bit alternative on 'Cut You Off', with a non-chalant delivery and a gorgeous instrumental bridge. However, some other songs fall short, either feeling like fillers ('Fun'), or just being repetitive/nothing new as the album progresses ('Kinda Crazy', 'People You Know').

    "Rare" is a really good pop record, and it is definitely a step in the right direction for Gomez.    … Expand

    This album is extremely refreshing and I love it’s overall sound as it’s very new and authentic.. however some lacklustre songs (Ring for example) let it down in my opinion.

Rare is a pretty solid comeback for Selena and I think it is a pretty good album that I will probably consider listening to again. However, it is also sometimes a bit bland and might not really stand out in general, but it stands out in her discography nonetheless. Although Rare isn't life-changing, IThis album didn't surpass my expectations, but it didn't exactly go below them either. Rare is a pretty solid comeback for Selena and I think it is a pretty good album that I will probably consider listening to again. However, it is also sometimes a bit bland and might not really stand out in general, but it stands out in her discography nonetheless.     To be honest, my expectations weren't very high going into this album but I was pleasantly surprised. While the album notably falls flat in a couple of places, all in all, it's a pretty solid record and the first time that selena has shown any potential in becoming a staple or becoming something legendary.     The album has some very good tracks, that, beautiful as they are, unfortunately don't quite hit the mark. Some tracks just sound outdated - yeah, Look at her now, I'm talking about you. Selena was able to convey both happiness and sadness, and made us want for more. A good album with a few tracks that own replay value. Not bad.

    It’s a good album, but it’s not what Selena is most capable of, she’s in her way to find herself in music and Rare is the way, some songs are really boring, like ‘Ring’, Fun’ and ‘Let Me Get Me’, while others are masterpieces, like ‘Lose You To Love Me’, ‘Crowded Room’ and ‘Rare’.

O que traz certa dúvida, pois algumas músicas já tinham sido gravadas na voz de outras artistas, como Charli XCX e Bebe Rexha, muito antes de Selena ter esse crédito sobre as músicas e composições. Além de trazer um discurso de livramento, Selena faz pouco jus ao tema, cantando sobre algum tipo de amor passageiro e divertido, em Fun -que carrega uma produção deliciosa, mas uma letra fraca e genérica. O álbum possui ótimos pontos, como a faixa-título, Dance Again, que traz uma melodia Daft Punk, Vulnerable, onde mostra delicadeza em sua produção, melodia e letra, Fun e sua produção de guitarra no refrão, o R&B cauteloso em Cut You Off e as parcerias do álbum, Crowded Room com o rapper 6LACK e A Sweeter Place que conta com versos de Kid Cudi. Rare é a prova de um projeto que, nem de longe parece ter sido moldado por sua artista, que não fez parte da chapa de composição, de fato, e também não fez parte de sua produção.     It is well known that Selena's vocals aren't the best out there. But she truly knew how to make them pop out with the sound selction she made. It is not my favorite body of work from Selena, but it is nice

    Not her best work yet but not her worst. Revival was way more authentic in terms of production. The opening song 'Rare' isn’t strong enough and songs like 'Fun' makes the album feel like a teenager pop album. 'Dance Again' and 'Kinda Crazy' could be Selena’s next hits.

Una producción interesante e impresionante que no se supo aprovechar al cien, hay letras con buenos mensajes pero con poco contenido en ellas es más fácil hacer un interludio que diga; "No me amas tanto como yo lo hago, joder soy tan rara" en lugar de hacer una canción de 3:40 minutos que repite lo mismo una y otra vez, a pesar de eso Gómez nos da algunas canciones destacables como lo es Vulnerable, Cut you off, Sweeter place y Crowded Room.
    Un buen salto para una artista nula, aún le falta trabajar demasiado para estar a la altura de sus contemporáneas Miley Cyrus y Ariana Grande., esperemos que después de está evolución siga creciendo y superandose, por ahora se queda con el amarillo.    … Expand

    It was always going to be difficult to follow up Revival but i have to say im enjoying this album. Selena really has found her niche and the music that best suits her voice.
    Some stand out tracks, would have just hoped for a few more bops!

    Selana Gomez sempre vem mostrando o seu melhor em cada álbum que ela faz, e nesse não poderia ser diferente. Apesar de algumas falhas na escolha das músicas, ele não deixa de ser impecável e sempre mostrando qualidade e coerência.

    I'm pretty harsh when it comes to lyrics and when i came across "boyfriend" i was like ??? it had so much potential to be good lyrically. When it came out i didn't like any songs but the singles, that are just perfect, but i listened to it yesterday and i like it SO MUCH. Souvenir is the best track for sure, it deserves to be a single so bad, i can't believe i didn't like it.

    Definitely not a bad album. Gomez shows a side of herself that is more genuine and vulnerable than her previous works, but many songs still feel like they are losing that emotion to try and get yet another hit song.

    This album has a few catchy songs, but is mostly made up of pretty generic songs. I wouldn't say the album is very creative or original. My favorite song on the album is "Rare." I enjoyed the album, but mostly thought it was just alright.

La lírica es muy buena, su voz es también algo a destacar en el álbum, pero algunas canciones se sienten planas, no se siente como si tuvieran un clímax.     Very good album! Some songs are a little miss for me, like boyfriend and rare. But I enjoy most of the album and some songs are just awesome. I really really love Ring, Souvenir and Lose You to love me. People you know is cute too. Overall well put together album with some very cute bops.

    Altough this album has some songs that were better if they didn´t existed, Rare shows a big growth in Selena´s carrer, proving to be her most challenging album, so far. Marked by it´s nostalgic and soft vocals, there are several songs on this album that are capable of making him remarkable.

    Hi. I'll probably get hate for this but here we go... "Rare" is a good pop album. It has its ups but it also has its downs. There are songs powerful with strong lyrics about Gomez's life (i know she had some troubles even though im not a big fan) while other songs are the most basic radio pop you'll ever hear. Some people might like that but i really dont. It's not bad but could have beenHi. I'll probably get hate for this but here we go... "Rare" is a good pop album. It has its ups but it also has its downs. There are songs powerful with strong lyrics about Gomez's life (i know she had some troubles even though im not a big fan) while other songs are the most basic radio pop you'll ever hear.     Such generic productions, with forgettable melodies and tired vocals. The lyrics to some songs are the best part of the LP, but still their beat are so outdated that can't overcome. It's a LP to listen to the singles only and two or three other songs.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
