    This album is the definition of “Pop Perfection” each song has a different story and it’s very hard to do that with the genre “pop” but Selena Gomez successfully achieved that with this album. She has an amazing way of emotionally getting attached to the song and making other people relate to it. Album of the decade.

    it's right to say that 'rare' is the most personal album that i already heard. it's a soft and delicate album, exactly how selena is. all the beats and rhythms are made for the songs, the lyrics are catchy and beautiful at the same time. her voice is a velvet covering my ears with a pretty melodic tone. singing like an angel, i believe it's that what we heard when we arrived heaven.

    Extremely disappointing. Very generic, mainstream & filled with auto tune. Her music is getting worse and worse.
    Many songs are definitely copied/sampled, and almost all of them sound like Stars Dance rejects. Also, her fake British accent from some of the songs sounds really cringy

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
