    The album is basic. All of her albums are better than this one. Ariana has a lot of talent so I'm surprised with these results. Shoutout to ”Nasty” the song that shines the most. Sadly, the album ended being the female version of ”Changes”. Hope the next one is more like Dangerous Woman, Thank u next or Sweetener, better albums.

    Ariana is one of the best vocalist of this century but she doesn't show her talent in this album. İt is boring, same beats, basic lyrics, nothing new...
    İt is barely listenable. Howe she tries new things and stops playing "safe" . Even "safe" things is bad now. 2nd worst album of 2020

    Apesar de um bom desempenho vocal, as canções demonstram pouco brilho e quase nenhum entusiasmo. Salvo exceções, que lembram cover de canções clássicas de Mariah, o frágil conteúdo torna o álbum pouco convidativo a uma nova visita.

    Absolute generic pop trash. What the heck are even some of these lyrics?? What a downgrade from "thank u, next". The beats are catchy, but these lyrics are absolutely awful. Some songs literally sound like a Claire's background music or Justice lol

    Disappointing album. After releasing the peak of Ariana's career, Thank U, Next this album felt extremely stale, bored and safe. It felt like a filler album. I expected much more from Ariana. Disliked this album....

    I think this is her second worst album. It is very catchy to listen to, but very repetitive. You can make R&B music with meaning too, it doesn't need to be completely about sex. 13/19 songs are about having sex all night. Which I have no problem with a few. Positions and 34+35 are bops.     Listening to this sex-related album once and being really amazed by her vocals, sadly, the album had lower expectations. After the promo and how excited she was I thought the album would be perfect. But in reality, it's simple And with no songwriting talent. The songs are almost the same.     I gave it a score based on how many songs I actually like in this album. 3. Most of the songs really sound the same. Dangerous woman continues to be the best album she's ever released.

Same trap/pop beats that she has used on Sweetener and TUN, the lyrics seem silly (in a bad way) and rushed. Love how she tries to take charge of her own sexuality in this album but sadly it comes of across as disingenous and childish, even with some of the most explicit lyrics I've ever heard in popBASIC and SAFE. This is by far the least adventourous and most generic Ariana album ever. Same trap/pop beats that she has used on Sweetener and TUN, the lyrics seem silly (in a bad way) and rushed.     Horrible album. Period. All the songs sound the same. Boring trap-pop music. The only good things is her vocals, but that's about it. Good thing i didn't pre-order the album since i wasn't sure if i'm gonna like it. Saved the money for something better.

    Such an unnecessary album in her discography. She needs to take a break and get some new inspiration; apart from a few songs like My Hair, she is just so watered down and it's more of the same trap inspired pop. It's all just generic with some cringe and immature lyrics and songwriting. Hopefully her next one can sound like Sweetener.

    A basic album, with songs that look the same. Honestly, I don't think anyone – myself included – expected such a monotonous album. Ariana Grande is a very talented singer, but apparently she doesn't like to sing, as we can see when checking the length of the songs. She really needs to innovate. I hope your next album doesn't disappoint us or leave us to be desired like "Positions" did.

The sound is rushed and overall horrible, I couldn’t even go through some of the songs on the first listen. I don’t understand how her team listened to most of these songs and still allowed them to be released. The only decent ones would be POV and Positions, but even those feel like filler tracks.… Expand

Those albums had authenticity and signature hits, whereas positions sort of merges into one continuous song that you can't differentiate.     Ariana Grande is a proven vocalist. Her voice can move mountains, her high notes are breathtaking. Sadly, this girl peak at Dangerous Women. The lack of growth, repetitiveness and a stale sound makes positions her WORST album ever. The 2 score is for the 2 songs I though were remotely close to being good.
    In conclusion; Nothing new, nothing change same old sht same old f’n sht!

    This album is definitely not what I expected. From being at the top one day with Sweetener and TU’N release she hit the bottom with this poor album. Positions feels like a recycled 8th year old music project. Poor lyrics and same beats out-stand in this album.

And before y’all come for me I’m black and I know Ariana is capable of doing r and b well (she has the vocals for it) but this whole thing is just a mess. The doja cat and Ariana feature was also a mess and the beat didn’t make any sense. Positions was the only good song good song and it’s because it ironically sounded like it should be on her previous album. From god is a women and 7 rings to.......this. Tragic.     Ariana veio com mais um material morno e entediante como o seus últimos álbuns, as músicas parecem todas iguais, até katy perry conseguiu ser mais original no smile, o que salva o álbum são os vocais, que são tão tediosos ao ponto de você dormir, e olha que as faixas tem média de 2 minutos, ós instrumentais certamente seriam responsáveis por uma histeria coletiva de dor de ouvido.

Ella es una artista muy talentosa, considero que su voz salvó el álbum, pero todo lo pierde con esos ritmos repetitivos que tiene, y con un intento forzado de R&B. Empecemos, "motives" es un Be Alright (AG) y Wild Beach (DC) 2.0, igual considero que este es el mejor del álbum por lo pegajoso y las vibras pop que lleva; pov suena un repetitivo soundtrack de algún programa de niños, o sea que tiene las características de una canción de por ejemplo, la serie en donde estaba. En nasty se nota que los silbidos son innecesarios y sólo un intento de presumir sus vocales; "off the table" es un Earned It 2.0, realmente dejo mucho que desear cuando todos esperaban un Love Me Harder 2.0 al menos. Positions tiene una letra nula con un ritmo más o menos pegajoso, su vídeo sí fue arte, pero la canción nada que ver. 34+35 y just like magic también son buenas pero sus letras y los ritmos que al principio te gustan y al final te llegan a aburrir es lo que malogra estas canciones. Shut up tiene un buen ritmo, buen vocal, parece un soundtrack de alguna película para niños otra vez, mi segunda canción favorita del álbum, a pesar que casi toda la canción es Ariana diciendo shuuuuuuut upppp. Thank you, next fue bueno, pero esta canción a pesar de eso, parece ser un álbum de los descartes de TUN, y malogra toda la estética, ni su portada ayuda, sólo los vocales y que al principio te gustan las canciones pero en la mitad ya te aburren. ¡Una pena que desperdicien un talento así!… Expand

    The album is overall bland, shallow and boring. When you reach the half of the album, you realize manybsongs actually sound pretty much the same and they are also about the same thing.There are a couple standouts, though.

    It’s kind of the same music she always does. There’s nothing new, nothing really exciting. She’s also repeating the same words over and over again in every song.

    This album is so worst. In my entire life I heard bad songs, but Positions is some kind of collection of poor production, generic lyrics and Ariana's waist of time and talent. Doja put something into it, but it was impossible to save the album. If you don't pay attention when listening, you'd feel like your consuming the same song for the entire 40 minutes.     i was expecting a lot more from her. sweetener and thank u, next were really good, somehow. positions sounds very ambitious, rushed, incomplete. she made a political music video but none of the tracks are political. they're all about being horny during quarantine. no artistic growth. a waste of talent.

The same trap-pop vibes as Thank U, next. The lyrics are shallow, generics. And her vocals sound the same in every song. How can someone go from a song like “Just a little bit of your heart” to a song like “shut up”?!… Expand

    I bought this album and If there was a way to get a refund I would. Biggest waste of money on an album that is generic & poorly produced. Extensive use of autotune, 15 producers per song making it incohesive, immature lyrics about apparently sex but you would never know because Ariana does not enunciate, repetitive & boring sound. But the biggest crime is that this album lacks any passionI bought this album and If there was a way to get a refund I would. Biggest waste of money on an album that is generic & poorly produced.     Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

    With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
