    What Miley did here is an amazing body of work. I already expected this album to be amazing, but not so good that i would feel the obligation to come here and give it a 10. And i did.
    Miley reinvented herself, made incredible lyrics about her new phase. Her covers tend to gain a lot of traction thanks in part to her unique gritty vocals - especially for someone found in the pop genre. Therefore it shouldn’t be a surprise that she take her next record ‘Plastic Hearts’ in an edgier direction.

    Utilising a number of live covers to craft a specific Glamorous Pop-Rock sound, Cyrus is at her best when she has more influence in her sound, as opposed to the record label bosses who would have preferred she take a poppier angle.
    Enlisting the guidance of some influential elders such as Joan Jett (who Miley had been compared to favourably post-Glastonbury headlining slot) and Billy Idol on stand-out track ‘Night Crawling’. Miley is still a pop star at the end of the day - that being written with only an abundance of praise for the underrated and often overlooked (*Cough* Grammys) rebel. She is most at home on 80’s-influenced beats such as ‘Midnight Sky’ which has been given the stamp of approval (and remix treatment) by RockNRoll Hall of Fame inductee Stevie Nicks herself.

    It is a mixture of pop rock glam, between the 70s and 80s, undoubtedly a privileged voice with very good collaborations, it is one of his best record works. It really is a pleasure to hear it.

This album is great overall, production is really good and Miley's voice fits perfectly with the retro pop/rock genre, I'm glad she made a project like this. Every song is good and unique. After six albums that touched a vast catalogue of musical genres from popHannah Montana sang "Rockstar" at the local fair in Crowley Corners before telling the world her real identity and now Miley Cyrus has proven to the world that she is THE rockstar. More of a glamorous rock rather than rock and roll, Miley has given us the best and most cohesive musical piece she has ever put out. After six albums that touched a vast catalogue of musical genres from pop rock to pure pop, electro-R&B and country, we all thought we had seen every side of Miley; until she took part in this beautiful third millennium disco revival with "Midnight Sky". She started hinting a rock side of her last year with the live performances of "She Is Coming" but I never expected it to be this good. Her voice is built for rock, this is just made for her even though she can do everything she wants to. She didn't lie when she stated: "I'm unusual, not so typical, way too smart to be waiting around, tai chi practicing, snowboard champion, I could fix the flat on your car, I night even be a rock star". Ya'll remember that? A MOMENT TO REMEMBER. Anyway, after 7 albums it feels like Miley has found her identity and musical conformity which I hope causes the making of a couple more rock-inspired records. This kind of music however might be childish and fake rock for the purists and those who think that The Beatles and KISS had any kind of impact but **** them this is our moment, the moment for another revival of pop rock, disco music and punk. I just want to live in the 2000s again when everybody was singing "she was a punk and she did ballet, what more can I say?" Just a glorious moment in music history. Continuing, the collaborators on "Plastic Hearts" have been selected perfectly and with a lot of love because, do you remember when Shawn Mendes was scheduled to appear on "Bad Karma" instead of Joan Jett??? Yeah trash. You can tell that this record has been put out with a lot of love and delicacy. It is melodic, catchy and just... amazingly beautiful and, as it plays, it keeps getting better and better despite Miley having limited songwriting skills. It just feels GOOD you know? I want to jump and scream and smile to this. Also the vocals on "Plastic Hearts" have been put perfectly and the tracks have been very well produced. With an aggressive intro and a vulnerable outro, Miley Cyrus has come here to prove how versatile she is as she keeps getting bigger and better mixing her passion for rock and roll with the pop rock roots from when she all of a sudden became the biggest teen idol of all time for us the Zs. Os destaques dessa preciosidade fica com "wtf do I know", "Prisioner" cuja parceria com Dua Lipa foi essencial para trazer a essência da nostalgia do passado, "Night Crawling" e "Gime what I want". Os covers presentes no álbum são outra peça chave para a coesão do que Miley se propôs. Apesar de algumas musicas desvirtuar do proposito, "Bad Karma" por exemplo, que parece mais como o vergonhoso "Younger Now", antigo trabalho da cantora, contudo, isso não estraga a experiência de presenciar um delicioso pop rock de qualidade.… Expand

Every album of hers is different but always better!!! She went back with rock and i think that’s what she does best, but we know it since can’t be tamed (even tho she makes amazing pop).     perfection and literally her best work of body and art and sound. sometimes it's feel like mixes of diffrent genres but i don't see that as a problem and tbh only really talented people can make mixes of genres.
