Pissing Stars is by no means an easy listen but, if time is invested, amongst the heaviness and foreboding, rewards can be found. The world may be a bleak, troubling place at times, but Menuck continues to find salvation through his music.

Gusts of electronic noise, ominous drones and Menuck's semi-spoken vocals fight for supremacy throughout, occasionally coalescing into something special. [Mar 2018, p.111]

    A haunting, life ruining album.

The first half is profoundly depressing, but there is a hint of brightness found in A Lamb in the Land of Payday Loans. Pissing Stars is a deeply emotional and powerful album that addresses issues of global warming, politics, and war. This is a long and a hard album to listen through, but making yourself available to it is a worthwhile experience. It is one of the darkest feeling albums I've had the pleasure of listening to, and if you enjoy that kind of thing, you might enjoy this. This record is fantastic.
