This album is filled with melancholic ballads with an experimental twist to them and beautiful, distorted instrumental interludes, eartheater uses her voice beautifully, it is used almost as a sort of projector of emotions, bringing you a clear sight of her feelings

The album is an alluring, heady mix of skewed folktronica, avant garde noise and opulent orchestral tones which combine to cement Eartheater’s place in every discerning music fan’s end of year lists.

Firmly bound to themes of renewal and rebirth, Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin is a winning experiment in economy and earthiness from an artist previously known for ornament and excess.
