Degradation. Even in comparison with the previous album, which was not scolded only lazy. If you cut out all the repetitions in the lyrics from this album, each of them will have a maximum of 5-6 lines. In addition, the texts are not only replete with repetitions, but also terribly banal. Wow. This is just as bland, predictable and forgettable as their other records

Welcome to the Dan Reynolds school of writing choruses where all 12 on the album sound interchangeable with the one before, or after, it.

    A monotonous blob of "yawn."

Imagine Dragons SUCK, terrible and extremely overrated band considering their popularity

Que puedo decir, si ya de plano no me gusto EVOLVE menos este. Parecen descartes de EVOLVE.

"Not real music" boomerisms aside, the music Dan Reynolds and the fellas have created here is uninteresting, flat and completely devoid of personality

The knly ruvals to this abysmal band is Nickleback or Creed as they take up the same deplorable space in rock music. Unfortunately Imagine Dragons’ actual vision is one that is milquetoast, formulaic, nearly anonymous, free of any real lyrical insight.

The latest album from Imagine Dragons is one that redefines what the band does, but it does not reach its arms into new or exciting territories. "Boomerang" and "Cool Out" offer the most chilled out choruses and greatest moments of the album, but, in contrast, "Natural" and "Zero" emit the most redundant hooks. Even though everybody with a good head on their shoulders on planet Earth is in favor of equality and brotherliness, "Love" possesses an uninteresting chorus that anybody could write in two seconds. The band has a knack for creating catchy rhythms and songs, and the message in the lyrics is nothing but clear, yet there appear to be little to no echoes of "Smoke and Mirrors", the band's most slick and perhaps, best album. Almost un-listenable. Easily their worst release, especially from a production stand point. I see some claiming that the record is "diverse" and "has something for everyone" but this... this is anything but that. The "diversity" is nothing but sloppily thrown together scraps of different genres which in turn entirely disrespects the music it's taken from. I understand potentially theAlmost un-listenable. I understand potentially the appeal of Natural as a fun pop-rock anthem and possibly even Zero (as a kids song), but there is literally not a single other track off of this release that is whatsoever well-made.

Oooof, one thought that Evolve was disappointing, but man, then they released Origins - a pinnacle of soulless music. Fun to vibe to when not focusing on lyrics, acceptable as a shopping mall music, but hard to relate to.

It follows the million-dollar formula laid down on 2017's Evolve a little too closely. ... But as emotional Trojan Horses go, few do it better. [Jan 2019, p.110]

Imagine Dragons are confident in their capability and knowledge of pop music, but Origins tries too hard to demonstrate their varied interests with the results generic and indistinct.

More often than not Origins falls flat, with insipid choruses and melodramatic refrains. Big, bold and a little bit naff, this is another bread and butter album from a mindbogglingly huge group.
