On their first LP in five years, Thomas and his 15 collaborators lovingly craft 12 richly layered but never precious songs which burst with invention, melody and surprising saxophone, all underpinned by chief singer Carol Catherine's appealing melancholy. [Jun 2013, p.104]

It's actually Thomas' gift for indelible melody--the album title-referencing chorus of "Break In," for example--that will keep the listener coming back.

One Kiss Ends It All succeeds on its own terms and, despite the finality of its title, it feels open-ended, like it could lead to anything.

Overall, One Kiss Ends It All is a little uneven but still an enjoyable piece of cosmic pop, and once you get past the occasional stutter, there is a lot to take from this one. If only every day could be Saturday.

Throughout One Kiss, it's obvious how much Thomas missed writing these stirring, expansive, romantic pop songs for Saturday Looks Good to Me. Even as they sputter through certain emotions, that longing comes through loud and clear.
