Feb 18, 2025At 21 songs, the album feels overwrought at times, and we could surely do without the just-OK “Brian Steel,” or “Moth Balls.” The Ice Spice-sampling “Glorious” feels like a loosie that would’ve gone viral in a parallel, beef-free timeline. Still, to both Party and Drake’s credit, they manage to make the record’s 74-minute run time feel like far less, submerging you into a mood that pulls you in with repeat listens.

Feb 19, 2025His singing voice isn’t nearly as tender and smooth as once it was. .... Sometimes the effect is monotonous and emotionless, which might suit his headspace, but ultimately it’s just boring. When he adds a little spice to his voice he can still sound expressive, like on the album standout “Small Town Fame,” which, if you ignore the shamelessness of the Brat summer bar, features him at his most earnest.

Feb 14, 2025On first listen, ‘$ome $sexy $ongs 4 U’ isn’t terrible, but it equally isn’t a vintage release for either artist. PartyNextDoor has undoubtedly released stronger material, and the pair’s regular duets have reached loftier peaks than these.

Feb 24, 2025A mostly forgettable but sometimes good album.

Apr 17, 2025$ome $exy $ongs 4 U is business as usual for Drake (mostly in R&B mode this time) and PartyNextDoor. In Drake's case, he tries to sound romantic but comes off as bitter and jealous, PartyNextDoor merely seems like a supportive friend who doesn't want to cause any more trouble.

Feb 19, 2025If the goal is to get the party lit, he does a poor job. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is a downbeat and dour collection of songs mostly focusing on Drake’s fraught relationships with women.

Feb 18, 2025It fails on every level. It’s not fun. It’s not sexy. It’s not impressive. It’s not inventive.
