She sings exquisitely of freedom and transformation as well as the pain and loneliness of living in such a tumultuous world. Produced and co-written to perfection by Jack Antonoff, this record sees Lana take a look inwards and discover the truth behind the American culture she was once so proud of. Truly a modern day masterpiece. Expand

Norman **** Rockwell! is probably one of Lana Del Rey's best albums. The whole album lures you into a dreamy place with all the instrumentals and her soft voice. The album also makes you feel so many emotions at the same time. In my opinion, this should've won aoty !!

Say what you want about Lana, but in 2019, she delivered easily one of the best albums of the 21st century. It is not only a mature reflection on the world around you but also a deep analysis of within with luscious production, moving lyrics, and amazing-near-perfect vocals from Lizzie.

Lana knew she had to serve. With this album, she proves that her songwriting is very inspiring and depressing at the same time. To the extent where it will make you cry because it's that good.

This album is definitely the most mature in Lana Del Rey discography, the first three tracks have already captivated you in a unique way, Venice **** is her best song ever, and midway through the last tracks it sounds cohesive and clean, and there's no way to end this album other than a piano and Lana Del Rey voice. is more mature than ever. Amazing album, like in every album Lana gets the best of her and show us a new fresh sound. The songs are masterpieces, musically and vocally. The story she told is so well done, every song has a heart. The visuals are so casual, nostalgic and accurate to the album. A masterpiece.

It's a remarkably sharp pop record that retains her fascination with pop-culture iconography and the rosey simplicity of a post-war America where classic rock and blue jeans ruled and takes them to much deeper places. ... Think of it as an hour-long car ride peeling down the highway with classic rock blaring out of the radio and no real destination in mind other than where your impulsive nature might take you.

A thematically rich record, heavy on mood and elegantly written in a way that positions Del Rey between Eve Babitz and Carole King. There are beguiling and evolving melodies underneath the spare piano and acoustic arrangements. [Nov 2019, p.24]
