    This is a brilliant--and brilliantly brutal--collection; pulsing dance music that, for all its heaviness and techno sensibilities, retains a glimmer of pop accessibility because it’s so well pieced together and just so much fucking fun. Viva The Prodigy.

    When the band boil their sound to its core, base elements, the results are explosive. While there are enough reference points and touchstones on No Tourists to stir memories of the band's entire career, there are incendiary moments that hit similar heights. By now, the band know what they do well and ably show that they still have plenty of petrol left in the can to throw on the fire.

    While Keith Flint and vocal partner Maxim aren't as prominent as they sometimes are on this outing, the bludgeoning beats and aggressive synths remain, with perhaps even a bit of classic rock swagger thrown in early on.

С большим уважением отношусь к творчеству Хоулетта, учитывая его прошлые заслуги (по моему мнению все альбомы до IMD включительно). TDIME был IMD part 2 во всех отношениях, но No Tourists.. не выдерживает никакой критики: звук плоский, однообразный, треки сведены ужасно. Сырость здесь совсем не к лицу, запитченный вокал отдает нафталином, хотя и отсылает к отличному «Experience», но только мгновениями. Идеи No Tourists повторяют то, что было написано в эру IMD , но делает это на три головы ниже. Прошло три года с момента выхода, но я не испытал других чувств. Ставлю 2: 1 балл за одноименный трек и ещё один за обложку и оформление – она действительно одна из лучших на мой вкус (те, кто говорит, что мол легко критиковать, купи альбом, послушай, там другой звук и т.д. - я купил пластинку и поддержал таким образом группу, но беда в том, что звук на носителе такой же пережатый и плохой. Очень надеюсь, что когда-то выйдет что-то более сильное, иначе и пытаться не стоит.… Full Review »
