It's not his greatest LP, but it's one of his most fun.

Moonshine in the Trunk is a mostly upbeat, feel-good summertime album that largely minimizes Paisley's tendency toward hokey power balladry and whatever the hell "Accidental Racist" is.

More than just asserting his countryness, Moonshine in the Trunk seems like an effort to re-assert his Paisley-ness, to get back to the sort of songs that first got him commercial attention.

This is a very better attempt than his previous, and it recaptures some of the things Brad is best at. Most of the songs are unique and can stand apart from the others on the record. Full Review »

One word to describe this album is charming. Like cheesy pick-up lines when you're drunk like the bars on a Wednesday night. Significant lackOne word to describe this album is charming. Like cheesy pick-up lines when you're drunk like the bars on a Wednesday night. Significant lack of lyrical substance and the instrumentals are not innovative or pulse inducing. Sadly, this is the second best country album I've heard this year.

Poor year for country music so far.
