I have followed Dawes for a long time. I saw a them in concert some time ago and they gave me an Eagles feel to their music. I have to sayI have followed Dawes for a long time. I saw a them in concert some time ago and they gave me an Eagles feel to their music. I have to say they have upped their game on this album. Always tight musically, this has a mellow jazz rock feel which is right in my wheelhouse. Lead guitar reminds me of a Walter Becker jam. I could probably do without the synthesizer on the first cut but each track is memorable with foot tapping music, tight vocals and long ballads. Guaranteed you will want to listen more than once.
