    Nice poetic songwriting as usual. I really liked Vigilante **** otherwise it sounds pretty flat and repetitive.

    Taylor is a giant artist in the industry. And this album is a masterpiece, it makes such an impact with these dark and adult lyrics. Simply amazing Midnights.

    This album is really a masterpiece. The pop production is so expensive and awesome. The bass lines EATT. And don’t get me talking about the lyrics, Taylor Swift has infused the best lyrics in this pop album. This is all we could’ve hoped for and I loved every minute of the album.

I love the production, lover and 1989 are the main inspiration, but there are elements from folklore, evermore and reputation (Vigilante S*it is the bad bi*ch from reputation, Lavender Haze reminds me of ITHK, ecc..). Anti-Hero, You're on Your Own, Kid and Karma are my faves. i rate 9 cause i don't like two tracks: Labyrinth and Bejeweled, but the others just bops… Expand

    Taylor Swift rehashes old songs in her tenth studio album Midnights. What can be praised as an interesting and original concept gets lost in a haze of synth and distortions. While there are some standouts, (Sweet Nothing and High Infidelity bring some texture), the murky pop score and standard breathy vocals bleed and blur each song together into a haze of vague sweetness. For such a rawTaylor Swift rehashes old songs in her tenth studio album Midnights. What can be praised as an interesting and original concept gets lost in a haze of synth and distortions. While there are some standouts, (Sweet Nothing and High Infidelity bring some texture), the murky pop score and standard breathy vocals bleed and blur each song together into a haze of vague sweetness. For such a raw album it is remarkably over-produced. The lyrics, while clever, lack the intricacies of her two preceding sister albums, and instead re-visit the bitterness of Reputation and the heartbreak of albums like Red. The mature lens on these past themes of heartbreak, revenge, betrayal, regret, and privilege, is appreciated, as there seems to be a more well-rounded perspective on life, subduing the idealism that was once rampant in her works. This however does not save the cliches and corny lines from creeping their way in, this time accompanied by a curse word or two, that by no means detract from the songs, but instead contribute to the fog that is an album that wants to be everything at once. This album sucks the personality out of the songwriting, squishing it in between synthesizer, muted keys, and computerized drum sets. All in all, this album is by no means a failure, but instead, an addition that neither offends nor compels the listener.… Expand

    It's her best album, without a doubt. Depression, anxiety and all the strong feelings present in this album with songs to cry and dance make Taylor Swift show once again its versatility in the world of music.

    Upon first listen I wouldn't say that I'm immediately *captivated*, but I enjoy it a lot. Standouts for me are maroon, vigilante **** bejeweled, karma, and mastermind. I think that I like the second half of the album more than the first and that's weird for me because I'm usually a first half guy. I imagine this album will grow on me, just like folklore did.

From beginning to end, until the 3am edition, until the Anti-Hero MV pierced my heart deeper oh gosh this album completed me so much...     Taylor Swift proved that she is really the mastermind by making an album with the production touch of her past pop albums, lyrically genius like her alternative albums, and the fairytale feels of her country eras. She proved that our melancholy and what-ifs at 3 am can be beautiful and advantageous. This is her best pop album to date, referencing each of our inner problems and past selves.
