    This album is so good the way she used her passed sleepless nights to make this masterpiece of a an album. Lavender Haze is a great starter for an album You’re on your own kid is such a beautiful song it got me to tear up. The bridge in Mastermind made relate to much because I didn’t have any friends in school.

    Midnights surpassed all my expectations again! I was hoping that Taylor would lean towards a pop with a hint of alternative sounds, and she did which made me love the album instantly. Her songwriting, once again, did not fail to amaze me as she was able to completely transport me again to a different dimension!     This album is essential. Just using her own previous albums as an example - it combines the incredible lyricism of Speak Now/Folklore, the pop feels and beats of 1989/Lover, and the edge we all love from Reputation. It's truly the most complete work and its overall amazing.

Anti-hero, Vigilante **** Bejeweled, Maroon, Midnight rain, Bigger than the whole sky are some of my favorite tracks from the very first listen ( by the time I'm writing this I have already played the whole thing + the 3AM version for about 20 times.. even in my sleep). I liked the idea of her coming back to the 1989 roots ( Synth pop), I was expecting more alternative-rock but the record is damn good, as it is. A little bit disappointed over the so called Lana Del Rey feature. Come on girl, we waited 10 years not for just few seconds of background vocals, a full verse from Lana would've quenched my thirsty soul.… Expand

The lack of bridges intertwined the cohesion just makes me feel like I’m listening to a 45 minute song. Not to say I dislike the record at all, Taylor is incapable of making a bad record.     midnights is a mix of feelings that you get at midnight when you can't sleep because something is worrying you keeping you awake at nights. And surely enough taylor was able to deliver the feelings of anxiety, self-loathe, regrets, sadness, loneliness- the feelings that keep u up- so perfectly. the cohesiveness of the album makes me fall in love with it even more. every single track ismidnights is a mix of feelings that you get at midnight when you can't sleep because something is worrying you keeping you awake at nights. Jack’s amazing production and Taylor’s beautiful songwriting and vocals seem to be a combination of all of their previous works. This album reminds me of the best parts of Red, Reputation, Lover and Melodrama. However, Taylor’s songwriting is lacking in a few tracks, like inTaylor Swift, Jack Antonoff and the other Collaborators put everything they’ve learned so far into this great album. This is definitely one of Taylor’s best album (might even be her best) the suspension from the day she announced it to the actual release has been unmatched from any other album release I’ve seen both online and in public aswell. I feel like every major album cycle for Taylor we say this, but this time, Taylor has fulfilled her destiny in pop music. Starting from the first track, “Lavender Haze,” its clear Taylor is going for something new. I would say overall, it seems she was shooting for something closer to her sixth studio album,Taylor’s tenth studio album “Midnights” is exactly what she was destined to make. I feel like every major album cycle for Taylor we say this, but this time, Taylor has fulfilled her destiny in pop music. Starting from the first track, “Lavender Haze,” its clear Taylor is going for something new. I would say overall, it seems she was shooting for something closer to her sixth studio album, “reputation,” and if that was the goal, she did well. This is exactly what many people wanted from rep. She took the dark motifs and put it over production that did not sound dated from the second it turned on. This is a very well done project, production wise.

    Track by track, “Lavender Haze” is an instant favorite. The melancholy throughout but also the dream-poppy sound makes that track one of the best. “Maroon” is much more up the alley of Taylor’s normal pop work, and “Anti-Hero” is one of the strongest tracks on the album both lyrically and musically. “Snow on the Beach” was probably one of the only disappointments from this album, as Lana Del Rey did not have much of a part in the singing of this track, but “You’re On Your Own, Kid” quickly makes up for this. While not as lyrically strong as predecessor track fives “My Tears Ricochet,” and “Tolerate It,” it is still a sad song and strong musically. “Midnight Rain” is one of the weirdest tracks in Taylor’s discography, but it works and fits nicely, and adds to the difference between the tracks to see through a cohesive album, but not monotonous. “Question…?” Is probably my personal favorite track on this album. The sonics are unrivaled, and it is not particularly surprising as I am a big bridge person, myself. “Vigilante **** was unexpected to say the least. It does not feel like much of a song, but it fits perfectly on this album. “Bejeweled” nails the in between in terms of “1989,” and “reputation,” and I have feeling that “I make the whole place shimmer” will be a pretty common instagram caption over the next few years (and rightfully so). “Labyrinth” musically feels like a good continuation of “Bejeweled” but it’s not overbearing, and not so monotonous that people think it’s the same song (thinking “Afterglow” and “Daylight”). “Karma” was unexpected, and “Mastermind” is one of the stronger songs lyrically, and closes out the album perfectly.

    Overall, “Midnights” is one of Taylor’s best albums, if not her best. Obviously, it’s not on “folklore” and “evermore’s” level of lyricism, but musically runs circles around them.    … Expand

    Once again Taylor showed us what an amazing singer songwriter she is! Taking pop music to the next level! One of her best works for sure! If you like Getaway Car, Out Of The Woods, August, Cruel Summer you most definitely will enjoy this album!

    I’m beyond impressed and exciting with this album She has shown her power, expertise and passion can’t against any obstacle. Amazing production her lyrics and experimenting moves through genres it’s unreal I just absolutely loved this LP I know is gonna continue growing on me. I couldn’t asked for more.

    Masterpiece. Taylor's talent and creativity is immeasurable. Full of different sounds yet very cohesive, very catchy and very touching . And of course you have to mention the lyrics when talking about a Taylor Swift album and when you do you have to use the kindest words to describe them.
