the album is just the same rhythm in each song , it just saves Young and Paris, the can't say they are better than Lady Gaga, and this album prove it .

Wow. The Chainsmokers had some good singles from 'Don't Let Me Down' to 'Closer' to 'Paris'. I honestly expected this album to be one of the good ones. Boring, nothing new. I think that their 5 seconds of fame are near to the end. The only good song (and using the word "good" is a lot) is Break Up Every Night. In fact Wake Up Alone sounds so similar to Kiiara's song "Gold".

Amazing! Lyrics ok but good songs and great pop/new EDM sounding. "Young" is the best song and it succeeds being even better than "Closer". Loved it!!

This album is a complete disappointment since I like pre Closer era TC (Roses and Don't Let Me Down). I'm really struggled to fully listen the album because most of the album tracks are really boring and slow at some point where I didn't feel energetic and passionate enough to continue listen anymore. I think EW was right this time, most of the tracks are basically ballads with beats and it kinda remind me I was listen to Charlie Puth Nine Track Mind again but in a Dance/Electronic sense. Speaking of it, I think this album should reclassifies as pop album instead because my perception on Dance/Electronic should be at least have soul or energetic that made your mood fresh and delight or passionate enough to start groove your body and M: DNO didn't brought my expectation on Dance/Electronic genre product. It just sad to see the general public and even some of the user here ate this s**t up and defend the album it's not that bad.

TL-DR: DO NOT OPEN THIS BOX OF MEMORIES AS THE ALBUM COVER SUGGESTED.

A generic waste of anyone's time. The Chainsmoker's pop-hit formula is quickly revealing it's trivial intent, to make a quick buck from preteens and any other unfortunate soul who would spend even a dollar on iTunes.

They shouldn't have labelled this album as dance/electronic. It is a pop album, and none of the songs is a real EDM. And please don't ruin other singers next time.

Sorry, but it's not a music. I wonder why it is even here? I deeply sympathize those who listened to this album or, what's worse, bought it. Oh, and yes, why their track won a freaking Grammy?

If you're not a fan of the Chainsmokers, you won't be of this album; let's get that out of the way. If you like the Chainsmokers for their popped-up EDM sound, "I'm drunk" party music, or a guilty pleasure, then this is perfect. A real trash from beginning to end, he died in Closer which is another piece of crap. One of the most generic and unpleasant albums ever recorded. Made for the lowest common denominator and mindless background music at parties. It borders on offensive blandness, and the lead singers "vocals" are on 6 tracks too many.

it still baffles how this duo found success because their music is as generic and basic as it could get. They have literally zero talent and instead of masking that with a good attitude, they're just showing how dumb, idiotic and ignorant they can be.
I tried to listen through the whole album thinking it might change my mind about them and their music but I couldn't.

One of the worst music pieces to ever come into existence. It's practically an endless loop of the same song over and over. The quality is so horrendous that it makes Pitbull look like Beethoven. A disaster of painful breakdowns, emotionless lyrics and scratchy vocals.

Either in upbeat tunes or mellow ones, the male vocalist just sound... the same. Also, they keep rehashing the same formula they were using with that one song they did with Halsey. So much creativity happened with the song making for this album, I'm sure. This album probably the most embarrassing portfolio in Coldplay's Chris Martin's career yet. But I can't blame him to cash in on this. Just gonna regret it later, I suppose.

One of the most uninspired album this year thus far, and probably one of the worst this decade too.
Forgettable and yet, managed to be annoying. Really, can't expect too much from the same duo who releases "#SELFIE" song couple of years back. We'll see how far far they can stretch this out, or will they be forgotten sooner than we think just like every other once popular mediocre white male dance act, say LMAO, LOL, or whatever they were called.

Which make me ponder, why were Grammy Academy really think they're worthy to receive one of the trophy?

This certainly is not one of the worst albums ever recorded; indeed, it has its moments of merit that hit the proper spots and deliver the intended dose of dopamine. However, as a cohesive statement worthy of an album's length of the listener's attention, Memories is lacking.

Riddled with resentment and lyrics that land with a self-serious thud, Memories is a stunningly drab record. For the most part songs plod along at a strenuously mid-tempo pace, and are mostly lacking in any sonic detail that would reward closer listening.

Mr. Taggart is a capable but unexciting singer. And he has shockingly few lyrical ideas, less of a concern for performers more adept with melody. ... Two back-to-back songs, the impressive “Honest” and “Wake Up Alone,” parse the weight that fame exacts on emotional relationships--they’re among the most credible on the album.
