This is my first album review, and I'm more than pleased to share my thoughts on Lorde's 'Melodrama'. A significant step-up from her already accomplished debut record, and I appreciate how, like on 'Pure Heroine,' Lorde incorporates hip hop into some of the songs.

Highlights include 'Green Light,' 'Homemade Dynamite,' 'The Louvre,' and 'Perfect Places'.

A poetic and lyrically mature album, well produced and arranged. Whilst it may not be everyone's style, Lorde is definitely not trying to please everyone (e.g. Liability (Reprise), Sober II, and Loveless), which would cut the album down to 8 tracks. Lorde delivers an impeccable sophomore-album that is as textually clever as it is emotional. With producers Jack Antonoff and Joel Little she has created a modern and futuristic pop-album that is going to be played for years to come.

To be honest I didn't like tha album at all, quite overrated, didn't feel anything at all, but as always stuff like that will win several Grammy's because critics like it

She is a real goddess. She is the best in pop industry. 'Melodrama' is the best pop album of 21st century. I'm so proud of her. The album was well worth the wait.

Unapologetically pop. Unapologetically Lorde. A marvel of cohesive storytelling, unique and nuanced lyrics, and slick producing. This is what the pop music of our time will be remembered as.

Flowing from song to song, the unconventional rhythms combined with her unique form of storytelling form a pop masterpiece that deserves all the recognition it can get. With highlights such as the piano-driven "Green Light" or the haunting "Liability", the album succeeds on many different levels. An atmosphere of Kate Bush and Bjork but without losing the essence, now mature of the Lord. I hope Melodrama is the big winner of the night at the Grammy's 2018.

talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, **** on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it... this album is all those things. But actuality it's a **** good album.

Melodrama is a nice short and compact pop album, coming under 40 minutes, it explores a wide variety of emotions and a diverse range of pop music all while keeping the album cohesive. The whole album feels like a breath of fresh air from other recent pop albums which have filled the album with over an hour of filler, when half the songs will be skipped by the listener anyway.

Lord, this is a masterpiece, every song is filled with meaning and emotion, she managed to convey this through music, the album surpassed so many expectations. In my opinion this is a unique album in which you can feel so many emotions and moods that you can dance and sink. All that she creates is something special and unique art. Thank you, Ella.

Wow. This is a really great body of work from Lorde. The instrumentals are wonderful and epic in many parts, the lyrics are, honestly, faultless, the melodies, though lacking in several parts, come together to form a really coherent whole when the album is listened to as a unit. In this new album proved that with few doses of melancholy and some mix of dance pop with piano and voice you can make a great album. The new songs bring a girl more honest and vulnerable than the hard girl from pure heroine.

Still only 20 years old, Lorde could have been forgiven for floundering under the weight of expectation. Instead she’s reasserted her status as today’s ultimate alt-pop artist with a record that balances the contemporary with the classic in typically immaculate style.
