May 6, 2020Probably the greatest album to come from a female vocalist in the past 30+ years. Lorde creates pure art within the track list and is met with top notch production.
-
May 29, 2020She's very cute and artsy. She kinda reminds me of the villain in Home Alone 2: Lost In NY, how at first glance she smells bad and is scary looking but upon closer inspection has a beautiful redeeming quality. In this case writing Perfect Places.

Oct 16, 2021Most overrated album of the century. Her voice is awful, her lyrics are cringy and her attitude is embarassing.

Aug 23, 2022fter four years of waiting, Lorde has truly delivered one of the best
pop albums of 2017.
With an exquisite production, the album holds in its catalogue some unforgettable tunes, from the triumphant opener 'Green Light', to the infectious anthem 'Supercut', which highly resembles Robyn's 2010 hit song 'Dancing on My Own', to the Kate Bush-esque ballad 'Writing in the Dark', or the eerie… -

Jul 7, 2019Lorde has a lyrical elegance that allows me to keep coming back, even a year after release, feeling "Melodrama's" emotional complexity.
-
Dec 4, 2017This is the AOTY of 2017, im sure if those annoying stupid little kids fighting over "Divas" here this album would be higher in user score. To that people, please grow up this is music not a reality show. idiots...

Nov 12, 2017Melodrama is near perfection. Lorde along with Taylor Swift can now be called the female crusaders of writing all of their music. Melodrama is very well melodramatic it lives up to it's title. There are a few small flaws but overall this album is a work of art and Lorde's best pop offerings to date.
-
May 29, 2019Perfect album from first track to last. Break-up album but also about a young adult trying to find her place in adult world.
-
Jul 23, 2018More than one year since it was released, and I'm still addicted. I'm so proud of her. Best album of 2017
-
Aug 17, 2017It is raw and cathartic. Written with such passion and mirrored emotions. She vividly translates all of it in lyrics and rhythm. It is everything that an album called melodrama should be.
-
Nov 18, 2021Greatest non-movie/musical album I've ever heard. Writer in the Dark and Liability
-
Apr 4, 2018This is her best album, it shows how much she has matured as an artist and musician.

Oct 15, 2018The cohesion between the well crafted songs make this album an incredible experience. Although Lorde is young, she has already created a complete masterpiece. And her voice adds up to this experience to make us feel like there is no one else that can do pop as good as her.

Sep 20, 2019The way she express what she feels is so powerful and you can understand everything. Besides the production into this record is so pure and wonderful.

Jul 10, 2017There are no gimmicks. There’s nothing screaming for acceptance. Melodrama is a raw, real album under its sparkly clean production. One written for the masses but able to resonate with each individual listener.
-
Q MagazineJul 6, 2017Lorde's biggest achievement is retaining her emotional insight into herself and her generation despite her utterly transformed life. [Aug 2017, p.100]

Jul 6, 2017Still only 20 years old, Lorde could have been forgiven for floundering under the weight of expectation. Instead she’s reasserted her status as today’s ultimate alt-pop artist with a record that balances the contemporary with the classic in typically immaculate style.
