  1. There's nothing new under the sun in the world of Stereolab. Diehards will enjoy Margerine Eclipse simply because it exists and isn't lousy.

Rich, smooth, and speedily forgettable. [Mar 2004, p.128]
  3. Full of familiar noises and aimless melodies.
  4. While by no means disastrous musically, it's a pale imitation of much better Stereolab albums, and in the end altogether dispensable.
  5. There is nothing new for the listener.
