    The album has a lot of songs of diffrent genres telling diffre't stories each that ties into a bigger one carries through out the album. I absolutely loved it, it has something for everybody in terms of taste in music.

    You can't get more diverse than MAP OF THE SOUL:7. It has something in it for all the listeners out there, whether you're into rap or pop or rock. An album with an incredible meaning which resonates greatly with BTS's dedicated fanbase and of course, BTS themselves.

    I think this album has the best structure and most interesting one of all BTS albums. It's an album that explores BTS journey and artistic side using some the archetypes of the Map of the Soul of Gustav Carl Jung (persona, shadow and ego). My favorite lyrics are Intro: Persona, Interlude: Shadow and Black Swan And my favorite songs are the mentioned and UGH!

    Though I'm very well aware that this album doesn't really have the cohesiveness, I would say that this is one of their most meaningful albums. This album serves as an ode to themselves.

    This is the first full album ive heard of this boys and what a surprise... somehow i was expecting empty lyrics but i wasnt even close. They are such great singers, performers and producers. So talented, pure, complex but simple at the same time. Just magical.

    It has been over a year since I first listened to MOTS7 and I still regularly listen to every single track on this album. The vocals were amazing as always. The best track on this album is moon, both the production and vocals were outstanding, Seokjin did a great job.

Their capacity to be so in tune with their own vibes while still being able to work so well as a group is something that is rare and should be cherished. MOTS7 encompasses many genres of music, displayingApart from the 20th track, On ft. Sia (which is bad because of Sia so it’s not BTS’s fault), this album greatly showcases how versatile BTS are both as individual artists and as a band. Their capacity to be so in tune with their own vibes while still being able to work so well as a group is something that is rare and should be cherished. MOTS7 encompasses many genres of music, displaying pop, rock, hip hop, trap, R&B and EDM influences, which makes the album so fluid to listen to, probably their most multifaceted album so far. Performance wise, BTS have brought a new scale to music/dance performances with this album, with Black Swan, On (the kinetic manifesto), Dionysus, Boy with Luv…It really is too bad that covid stopped them from performing these to a live audience in stadiums. The MVs have also been well thought out and the artistry is at a whole new peak. If you look closely, you can see the shift in MV and performance quality in mainstream music ever since BTS brought something so refreshing to the table. It is only natural other artists try to be as efficient and creative, they can only feel inspired by their pairs.… Expand

    There is not a single skip on this album. Its a masterpiece. BTS’s lyrical prowess is incredibly impressive and each member brings their own unique touch and undeniable charisma to full group tracks, unit songs and solo work. Amazing.

With the variety within the album and the production behind it, BTS outdid themselves with this release. ON is such a powerful anthem that really sets the tone for the album, adding their global collab with Halsey (Boy with Luv) and adding ballads such as Jamais Vu, Zero O'Clock and We are Bulletproof: the Eternal make it a rollercoaster of a ride. They also included solos within the album that really makes the members shine both individuals, as a group and as separate units (e.g. respect - RM & Suga, Jamais Vu - Jin, Jungkook & Jhope, Friends - V and Jimin.) It was an album made for the stage and showed how BTS has matured and grown both musically and as a group overall.… Expand

After Map of the Soul Persona, its sequel 7 featured an individual side of each member on an album with over 18 songs and the title track Interlude Shadow. BTS brings together a sequel to finish a tireless search for their idealsMap Of the soul is one of the albums that I consider as a favorite for the complexity it brings not only from its lyrics but also from the history of its name. After Map of the Soul Persona, its sequel 7 featured an individual side of each member on an album with over 18 songs and the title track Interlude Shadow. BTS brings together a sequel to finish a tireless search for their ideals through their minimalist and well thought out work.     This is actually a map of the soul of Earth. Ava Max thinks she’s more talented than BTS, but she could never produce such high quality content. Her new album diamonds and dance floors goes to show how reductive she is, and she can’t even stream BTS from a urinal.

It deserves the highest score of all time. The message, the lyrics, the performances, the concept, the tracks, the diversity of the genre, everything is well planned and well executed.     As a whole, the strong but not particularly unruly “7” is less sure-footed than “Love Yourself: Tear,” the group’s last full-length, from 2018, and the first K-pop album to debut atop the Billboard album chart.

    Persona lacked the natural fluidity and chicness of their best music. Those problems aren’t exactly mitigated here, since most of those songs appear on this album too, but within this new context, they feel like a flashback before the saga continues. Many of the new songs are better about balancing Easter eggs for day-ones with new entry points for more casual listeners.
